Oh horseshit I was drinking black coffee when I watched it and my memory is perfectly clear: MV cited the election and the death of someone close to him, and specifically dismissed Rubini as pro wrestling, i. e. fake, saying it was an understanding to which he came early.  All that wet-paper-bag wizardry is just impotent noise for people with short, chemically suppressed memories.
