what is its function (other than to collect dust)?

Although they are available to buy, there never seems to be a description of the function.

Okay so originally someone was talking about how difficult it is to prove somebody this self as innocent, and that I replied with the word macrame knowing that that is the art and science of tying and untying knots which is what one who is innocent gets entangled in when one gets involved in forward and tongues with goddam lying hog teat-sucking niglet-piglets
Writing and reading and conceptualizing all of that without bothering to proofread it is one of those things that tying and untying knots makes me good at doing.

And then look what happened!

Ha! That’s exactly what I thought. Total dust magnet.

Hm, can one knot up magnets?

I literally have a box of the shit in the closet. They're for hanging potted plants. I was going to put ferns in them, but then I decided to use hemlock.

Hm, can one knot up magnets?

Go blackmail a scientist and find out. *click*

Probably.

I'm not going to try. I have only refrigerator magnets, and I can't see how to do it.

Seems like a huge effort. I can't even think about that anymore!
What's the click about?

I asked. The clerk leaned in and whispered, “It’s for owners to accidentally hang themselves while dusting it.” She wasn’t smiling.

Why can't you put them on a stack of Easyrider magazines like a civilized person?
