Thanks. I wonder if I will ever find out what happens to the guy. The cop thanked me for sticking around and keeping him out of traffic and safe. I just responded "at least for a night." Without support, I don't know that he will not just be successful next time. But that is between him, his God, and possibly his psychologist...  ;)

Thanks Dubb. I read that again, and I realize that it sounded like he was plastered. He was steady on his feet, and there was only a slight smell of alcohol. He may not have even been over the legal limit. He was probably mid 20's to 30 with a typical thin Philippio build.

I also realize that he would probably have been better served having a "Dubb" (or any normal person) show up instead. With me, when he said he screwed up his relationship, I was honest and said that I didn't know what happened, so I could not comment. When he said he really screwed up with the crash, I did admit to him that running a car into a train may not have been the best action. I seem to lack a filter and proper empathy.

On the other hand, he is still alive. No other cars stopped, and the 3 or 4 people who got off the train just started walking home. So, I suppose you get what you get- and in his case it was a WOTR who does not always say the "right" things. I was a little surprised that not a single other person either got off the train to hlep or stopped their car to help in the 7 or 8 minutes until the emergency vehicles showed up...

Haha my poor repressed childhood could have used a few more rainbow butt-monkeys!

Oh I don't think it matters what you say; it matters what you did.  Which is, call help and turn the emotional temperature down.  You will find that sort of calm, matter-of-fact approach is very like what emergency people use when somebody's drama-meter is pegged.

Thanks Mr. Dubb. I have actually been thinking about it a little over the last few days and I really was starting to think I should have been more like most "normal" people and more empathetic and "feely." That little sentence brought me back to reality and I think I can now stop the stupid hamster from running on that wheel anymore...

I just about killed myself laughing tonight. I was out cruising on the unicycle. I had a lane to myself and was carving and (sort of dancing) and singing along to Fun "Take your time". As I'm singing the line "I'm through with causing a scene" I look over at a truck with all occupants and the driver staring at me. I suppose that cruising along, gaining on them, and starting to overtake them on a single wheel in the early hours of the morning probably drew some attention.

Long story short... Apparently, I am NOT through with causing a scene.  ;D

(Lyrics at around 3:30.)

At first, it sounds iffy.  But then when one thinks about it, it sounds pretty cool.  I'm going to buy the ingredients and give it a shot. ;) ;D
