Was there any official Church finding about the souls of aborted babies?  Are they soulless and condemned to hell forever, or do they fall into the category of "...those who have never heard my name..." and would have had a chance at redemption had they lived an actual life?

Different sects have different views on that.  Funnily enough, one of the clunkier parts of the Book of Mormon has a special revelation about what happens to the souls of children who die before they can believe.  For whatever else he was, Joseph Smith did his best to resolve that issue.

That was the 19th-century equivalent of a hot-button issue given the high infant mortality rate and new sentimentalization of childhood, and one of the clues that the Book of Mormon dates from that time.

I think there is corollary here to the old "When all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail":  I am certain you can put it more poetically, my rough attempt would be along the lines of;  "When you are in the closet, every thought is homoerotic fantasy" or something to that effect.

And another thing, is anyone going to clean up all these massive jackstars someone has been leaving in all the threads?  Or is that some sort of new sub-Saharan decor thing that is in vogue these days?
