I’m sure K_Dudd will appreciate this next anecdote. I went into a grocery store last night for a few things (masked, of course, gotta be a good upstanding sheep) and saw perhaps the bravest thing I’ve seen in some time: it was a young, attractive couple shopping maskless and no one said a thing to them, not even store employees. We just all watched reverentially, wishing we could be so brave. I took it as a positive sign of things to come, a first crack in the damn, if you will.
I’d say 65-70% of shoppers wear them here in Texas.
It is so disappointing. I remain a pessimist till I see otherwise.
