Is this considered 80's or 90's music? A friend of mine gave me shit about liking this song and called me a dirty hippie and asked if i voted for Obama

This is the first EDM track I really fell in love with. I actually wrote to John Larkin thanking him for this song the day before the New York State Class A State Qualifier meet during Cross Country season in the Fall of 1997.

This is the 80s, political and refined, not dirty or ragged enough to fall in the hippie camp.

This was the first instance of my personal use of neon lights when I raved with neon glow sticks at my junior prom in 2000 and that dumb bitch at the time was actually annoyed I was having fun, lol.

I raved to this one too that night. Looking back now all these years later as a way way older person I'm horrified they allowed the DJ to play stuff like this at a high school prom.

What the hell were they thinking back then? This is too degraded for even the smelliest old hippie who might have been lurking somewhere.
