The petshop boys "in the night." You can do a deep dive on the meaning. The zazous are often portrayed as anit-facist. However, it seems more likely that they really only wanted to party and didn't care about the Nazi occupations until they were targeted themselves. Seemed fitting for the number of people who didn't care about the loss of our freedoms because they could still go out and party... Yes, it may have been my direct attack on those who got vaxxed just to get a passport so that they could go out to a club and completely ignore our government removing freedoms and rights. But I doubt that most bystanders (or even other protesters) would have understood the reference.

"Distrusted by both the Nazis and French Resistance, they were only interested in clothes and music. Neil had read about them in David Pryce-Jones’ book Paris In The Third Reich, and questions whether their apathy essentially led to cooperation with the enemy."

I like that one!  Yes I am sure it was an ambitious reference, I hope someone got it.  BTW I have never shown my vax card, like I promised  :P

I apologize- I'm sure the only ones with that footage is the police themselves. I realize that you were probably absent during some of the festivities. This is what I probably would have looked like this winter (if I were actually protesting- which I was certainly was not.) Rumour has it that it was too cold for this gentleman to be shirtless (probably - 25 to -30 on the prairies.)

I'm seriously considering printing these and framing them.

Is that a police truck (?) in the background, what were they doing with that big thing?  Striking!  Would have turned my head, shirtless or not.

I'm impressed. Even most unvaxxed people that I know took rapid tests occasionally so that they could attend events or go to dinner. I mentioned elsewhere that I have an "exemption" for work that allows me to access certain areas. I have never printed it off and never showed that exemption. I have never even opened the PDF that came with the email from HR to know what it says. I admit to being a little bit of an extremest when it comes to this.

I don't know for certain what that truck is because I would not have protested around those areas because it upset our prime minister Justine... I do know that it was parked at the Milk river (Coutts) border blockade and I assume that it was a command post or communications truck.

You've got to stand for something (or you'll fall for anything) by Aaron Tippin. It was a good, regular reminder to stand up for your beliefs knowing that there can be a cost associated with doing so.

RC the rapper. I saw it performed live and had to turn away from the crowd, remove my goggles and dry my eyes when Shingoose started singing. Powerful when your country rejects you and no longer feels like home.

RC "friends" also featured on the playlist. Filmed with a number of people who I ended up knowing in Calgary during some of the early rallies. Also filmed at the Whistlestop cafe that was closed down for refusing to ban the unvaxxed.

For good measure, we had the Hu "Yuve Yuve Yu". Why? First it is fun to ride to. Secondly, we have some lyrics translated...
Hey, you traitor! Kneel down!
Hey, Prophecies be declared!
...
You've born in ancestor’s fate yet Sleeping deeply, can't be awakened
...
Born to live as nobles Yet, can't unite as one
How strange, how strange
Why is it difficult to rise up our nation up?
How strange, how strange

Hi-Rez & Jimmy Levy "Welcome to the revolution". Again, self explanatory.

Buffalo Springfield "for what it's worth". There's battle lines being drawn. Nobody's right if everybody's wrong...
A thousand people in the street. Singing songs and carrying signs- mostly say hooray for our side.
It starts when your always afraid. Step out of line, the man comes and takes you away..."

Van Morrison- "As I walked out." Good protest song. "They spread fear and loathing, no hope for the future." Sounded about right.

I don't really care for the song. But the message that the Vietnam war is over (if you want it) while in reality it was raging on seemed to fit. It made the playlist around the time that I stopped wearing a mask to stores. Basically we had reached all of the milestones required to drop local mandates, and city council simply said "tough, we are keeping the bylaws" and offered no end date. So I decided that Covid was over. What else can I do? Comply with stupidity forever because her majesty and the court jesters told me to?

More later again.

Music to listen to while waiting for the end of the whirled...

That would be a highly probable ID and would explain why I'm getting something between 1-5 pings on my mission tracker HUD.

she is hawt!

Did you just round up all the thuggie little piggies and ship them off to market? I mean, I'm not gonna lie, that would be something a total stud and Adonis icon like yourself would be able to accomplish, surely without even breaking a sweat.

Honestly, this whole angle is just TMI but since you've been talking mad shit about some g*y who has -literally- never shot meth as if I do it all the fucking time, or even once and am ashamed of it, you may wish to consider how well you're testing in focus groups right about now.
