Title: "Hey Roz,.." or Questions for Roswell's, Art thread
Post by: pate on May 18, 2021, 09:47:30 PM
I suppose it could also be called "Ask Roz/Roswell's Art Anything," but I would not presume to be so bold.

I have a great many questions to ask Roz, hopefully some will be answered.

I will begin with this one:

Hey Roz,
If you were me, would you:  Go for a Bachelor's of Science in Botany or finish that Chef's Apprenticeship thing I started like a million years ago?
TIA

Roz,

There was a time that Billy Squier was as hot as fire. Then the video below happened and his career was never quite the same. That much is certainly true - some say this video damaged his brand irrevocably.  What say you?

Squier himself apparently believes this. By today’s standards he should be worshiped by the woke for sacrificing his own career to let a fag gay up his image and insert leftist ideology into his video. A true hero.

Botany, for sure. Working in a kitchen kind of sucks.

Unless I needed an actual degree I would forego the overpriced tuition, choose an institution with the best reputation for that particular field of study, look at the syllabus and self-study all the classes by buying the used textbooks for those classes and lab ware and supplement with lectures that have been posted to youtube. Also, many ivy league schools offer free courses online so I'd take advantage of that.

Botany sounds cool, maybe I'll do it with you, haha.

Dear Roz,

I am thinking of vegan peanut butter trump cookies, can I dye them orange or will people just think they are gross pumpkin?

Uuuummmm...I think Director Kenny Ortega might be a troll. Maybe we have finally discovered Six Week Tenure's real name...or Open Lines Gary's.

Go ahead and dye them orange. They shouldn't assume your cookies flavor.

See? This is why this thread is a great thing.  I would never have considered a Squier - Sendaverese connection.

BTW - I'll assume that you have not keeping up with developments in the Sendaverse. There was some tragic news - Senda lost all his upper teeth in an unfortunate iPad incident. The Swiss Army Incisor is no more. Very sad. Other than that things, are pretty much as they were - high interest advances on his stimulus, plans to rent a U-Haul to take his dirty laundry to the laundromat, etc. Same old, same old.

How?! I'm guessing it had something to do with his ipad, 3d glasses, and gay porn.

Actually, I have been keeping up, I hate to admit. I can't look away. I see Bart, planning for the inevitable and trying to stay relevant, post videos of other Falkie-like beings, hoping it will keep the thread going after Falkie stops vlogging, but none of them have the X factor that Falkie has.

I should sub to his channel so I can catch the next live stream. I have some diet tips I am sure he would appreciate.

I object to the use of dye in a Vegan Peanut Butter Trump Cookie, however sweet & crispy they may be.  Perhaps in lieu of artificial dye an appropriate organic butter-substitute may be used that is orange.  Is there such a thing as Orange or Apricot Butter (like Apple Butter)?

To be honest, there is no need for "an actual degree," any/all degrees are going to be "feathers for the cap."  I am greedily trying to use up my GI Bill benefits before they run out.  So the price of tuition isn't really a factor, as a Proud Missourian there is the "Missouri Returning Heroes Act" ($50/credit hour, runs out 10 years after Honorable Discharge;  2024? eye think) & as a Title 10(?) Veteran of the Armed Services the "Post-9/11 GI Bill" (60%; runs out 15 years after Honorable Discharge, 2029? eye think).

I will have to look into a B.S./Botany in the KC area.  I doubt KC Art Institute offers such a thing;  but Avila, Park University, UMKC or some other local one might.  Forget Rockhurst, their high school taught me to hate Jesuits.

Anyhow, I have until the end of the summer semester where I get my ASSociate of Arts knocked out to think about all that.

There are some Applied Science Agriculturial degree programs in the area:  Kansas (spit) State University is probably the closest... ugh.

So this all leads me to another question:

Hey Roz,
Do you think a Bachelor of Science - Botany or some sort of Bachelor of Applied Science - Agriculture would be better for my goof-ball "dream" restaurant?
-pate

I am thinking the "puff-piece" local news copy free advertising for the hard/soft open on that angle.

OK K_Dubb,  just use crushed Cheatos instead of dye. It would be more historically accurate to boot.

You need to stay away from all those exotic imported cucurbits and potatoes whose indecent phallic forms inflame the passions with unnatural lusts fueled by their superabundant starchiness!  Foreign tools of the devil designed to foster degeneracy, it is no wonder they have been embraced all over the world by fiery southern types more inclined that way than is right.  Plant a potato and you are sowing sin!

No, the brassicas are the native foods of our people, their graceful leafiness and womb-shaped tubers — the gently swelling kålrabi (what you might call a neep?) and the voluptuous turnip — exude soft femininity without all that maddening starch and their consumption will keep you dutiful, domesticated, close to home and hearth, while their sulfurous rumblings will keep any rampaging homosexuals far, far away from your bottom.

Turnips can also grow into some pretty suggestive shapes. You might tip them off via the homo grapevine. The next thing I know I've got a parade poofters digging them up and engaging in some kind of root vegetable saturnalia. No thanks.

Then Yeah, take advantage of that shit! What's your dream? From this post it sounds like you are interested in a 'Farm to Table' restaurant?

Farm-to-Table as a 'concept' restaurant is a bit passe I think.  Don't get me wrong, I am all about local-sourced ingredients as much as possible but I don't think I want to plaster it all over the menu.  Honestly that should be a "given" at any fine restaurant...

My goof-ball restaurant idea is a place that actually turns a profit, or at least is profitable for the people working in it anyway.

I have several ideas on the 'concept,' most are probably doomed to failure.

My personal favorite, that is more of a joke than anything, is to have a "Bush Meat" restaurant.  Of course that would be illegal, but I like to think of the Free Advertising that the permanent-PETA-protest out front would generate.  As a bonus, I would probably be able to charge a premium for a hunk of lightly grilled blood-rare elephant/zebra/dolphin/etc...  Maybe Azzerae could help me source some of that sweet endangered species meat, and quite possibly elephant is actually delicious, I couldn't say.

I hope that did not horrify you too much, a joke in "bad taste" as it were:  Ha!

To get back to reality, I would like to serve such things as Emu, Venison, Bison, Ostrich, Elk, Rabbit and other "exotic" meats.  Probably not as regular menu items;  maybe Bison & Rabbit...  So that is one idea, not married to it of course but it has been a thought.

My core idea, whether it be Vegan to Carnivore menu and anything in between;  is that EVERYTHING is made from scratch.  For instance, if I decide that a Twinkie would be an awesome desert, I would not go buy Twinkies:  I would direct my pastry chef to create a Twinkie "clone" from scratch without using gross Bromated (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potassium_bromate) Flour, Alzheimer's inducing Aluminum based Baking Powders and whatever Partially Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil is (or even Fully Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil).

If I want puff-pastry, it will have to be constructed "in-house" even though that is outrageously labor intensive, I don't want to use "convenience" products like frozen puff-pastry.  Just do something else if it is too much.  I would not be above making my own in-house puff-pastry in large batches and freezing it myself, however...  Same with stocks and what-not.  Probably not going to grind my own flour from wheat, but I will not rule that out either...

Another idea was to just be a sandwich shop, like a really really fancy Subway or Jimmy John's.  Again, I would have to make the mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar (think I would have to get a brewer's license for that...), beer, spirits, flavored syrups (make my own home-brew Cola, Lemon-Lime, Dr. pate etc syrups).

The 'concept' is sort of beside the point:  I think the biggest overhead cost is the lease/rent on the building.  The real dream is to turn the People's Free Democratic Republic of pate into a split-use Commercial/Residential property, which it is incidentally zoned for.  That would cost some $$$ and I happen to be very averse to debt, BUT it sure would be nice to live right above my goof-ball restaurant.  Perhaps a better idea would be to rent one of the many vacant already existent commercial spaces nearby that are already set up for restaurants.  That too would cost $$$, rents are high around here due to the "location, location, location" effect.

So either way, I must overcome my aversion to debt (whether to a Bank or Private Investors) to realize my dream.  So this leads me to my question:

Hey Roz,
If you owned a property that could be converted to a mixed use Commercial/Residential property would you do that or would you rent/lease a nearby existent Commercial property at somewhat inflated prices for your dream business?

-pate

I am not against using the property as the base for a food truck, still would either have to convert it to full Commercial or Mixed-use...  If I go full Commercial, I will have to buy another place to actually live in.

Restaurants are terrible businesses to open, the profit margin is really low:  basically only insane people or "foodies" do it.  That is unless you count establishments like McDonald's, Applebee's &c as actual "restaurants..."  If you do that, you might as well eat at the local convenience store, which isn't always bad.

Gas station BBQ, Crawfish, Fried Chicken & Pizza (if it is Casey's) are sometimes winners.  I have yet to try "Hunt Brother's" Gas Station Pizza, it intrigues me.

Hey Roz,
Have you ever tried the "Breakfast Pizza" at Casey's General Store gas stations?

ediot:  @Walks (http://@Walks) my brother is an exterminator should roaches ever show up.  Which they shouldn't, I keep a clean kitchen.  Yet another reason to not rent one of the nearby Commercial places, they probably have roaches.  In twenty years I have never seen any indication of those nasty critters in the PFDRp...  A mouse once in awhile (the place is 100 years old).  I don't think the use of "Roach" in the name of a restaurant is a great idea, btw...

pate, you ignorant slut. You don't even understand that there are Presidential-level on-goings on here, and—look @you—here you are, (using boldface,) like it don't mean a thing. Sad!

I will begin with this one:

Remember that a lot of people have kicked off their colon that way. And, what's that emoticon... bionic, bucolic, or bubonic?

This happens on every planet where people are forced into taking vacations and have a North. I wouldn't worry about it, if I were you, and it's too late—REGARDLESS.

this very bad man named Lex Britler

Well, at least it doesn't sound like a *script.*

Look, if this seems like a more satisfying avocation than working on the SCA's reboot of "Timecop," I suppose that's just because you don't enjoy documentaries as much as I do, since I only watch them to check their spelling and deductive reasoning. Do you know how satisfying it is to not only stand up in the middle of a crowded theater and yell, "You're wrong, Fatso!" while pointing and dancing and flinging shadowpuppets that may or may not be gangsign... but to also know that you are correct without having to wait for a push notification from Facebook?

It is breaktaking. Assuring you. Meanwhile, your application is still in the fax machine's overflow buffer, so don't worry, we can burn the moon when the cows are finished jumping over it. Or, wait... is the moon simply... counting cows?

Not sure (http://https://youtu.be/-oqAU5VxFWs?list=PLxR10FZLbnRFCXQIbfu9FsX-KfcdX9TCQ&t=8). (Don't click that link btw, I put it here solely to see if it would trigger THE HOUNDS. kkkkkkkkkkkkkkilllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll) That is the worst song in the history of humankind, right? I need a baseline on this, don't ask why.

All to common, I find.

What does any of that have to do with botany?

I would use the property I owned.

To the casual observer my dream restaurant (the one on the property I own) has nothing to do with Botany.

I apologize, my Concrete Randomness often interferes with certain individuals ability to fully grok, as it were.  I will return to this "Concrete Randomness" idea after I have illustrated the tenuous connection Botany has to my Dream Restaurant.

Part of the dining area for this purely notional Dream Restaurant, especially if it is to be opened on the property I already own, will be an outdoor dining area.  I plan to have all of the plants labeled with small plaques giving both common and scientific names, and perhaps a little bit of verbiage that could be anything from a quote relating to the plant, an interesting factiod about the plant OR failing either of those perhaps just some random non sequitor that may cause an eyebrow to be raised.  For certain, a degree in Botany would not be required but some familiarity with the subject probably would.

I hope the above was a sufficient explanation of how my Dream Restaurant relates to Botany, however arbitrary and random it may seem.  This leads me to my promise of returning to this "Concrete Random" thing.

Back in the 1970's (I think) there was this guy named Dr. Gregorc... which I think rhymes with "dork," and also conjures up images of Tolkienesque and/or Dungeons & Dragonesque monsters, I digress.  Below is an info-graphic outlining and summarizing his theory:

...which is a sort of Semantic Rectangle that attempts to categorize people.  Some goofball teacher in my youth made her students take some sort of test to find out what sort you were.  Before we took the test, the different "types" were described or we were presented with a chart similar to the one above.  Me being me, I decided that I was probably a Concrete Random-type, and whether or not I am I figured out while taking the test which answers to give to arrive at a test result that indicated "Concrete Random."

I suspect, the difficulty we are having here (re: your bolded question above) is due to your being either "Abstract" or "Sequential," hopefully not the "Concrete Sequential" as I find those folks quite tiresome and boring...

Were I a betting man, or a risk-taker I would put my money on you being an "Abstract Sequential" type.

So this leads me to my question for the oracle (you) of this post:

Hey Roz,
Have you ever heard of this Dr. Gregorc dork, and if so do you know what "type" you are?

Yeah, haha, I don't give a fuck about animals either. Hey, do you mind if I eat your dogs?...

I would be happy to share them with you, but a few caveats on that:

1.  This only will happen in a post-Apocalyptic survival situation.
2.  We eat them one at a time starting with the oldest first (that would be Flip, and she won't make much of a meal.  She is very lean and high energy, probably will be tough and stringy;  then Hanz he will probably be delicious, while not fat he is a bit chunky-stout;  and finally Mongo Lloyd who is a little overeating-fatty, he will probably be very tender and succulent.)
3.  They will have to be made into a special something or another, not just turned into stew-meat for the pot.  They deserve to be made delicious.  Also, I have promised them all that I will make "Sichuan-style BBQ dog-rib" from each of them, probably the appetizer.
4.  Any feral humans we meet in this post-Apocalyptic world that we have to kill will be turned into dog-food for the remaining dogs.
5.  If either of us dies in this post-Apocalyptic world, we become dog-food for the remaining dogs.
6.  Neither we or the animals will engage in cannabilism, so dogs can eat human meat, and humans can eat dog meat (if there is no other protein source available)

I have already explained the above to the dogs several times over the years, I will now inform them that there is a slight possibility that I may share them with someone if it ever comes to that.  If you have to feed me to my dogs because I die of an infected paper-cut or one of the feral humans/zombies kills me, please serve me medium-rare to the dogs.  Also, Hanz is my favorite so he should get the choice bits of pate-meat:  I have read that the hands are considered a delicacy among the savage cannibal types, and maybe the cheek-meat (if that Hannibal movie is to be believed...)

Seriously, though, maybe you can have live animals that you kill and clean in front of their family and serve them fresh.

Now that idea had never occurred to me.  If I may be so bold as to add my own twist on it;  I propose that the restaurant be both halal and kosher.  As I understand it, both halal and kosher meats have to be slaughtered in some special manner, I think it requires the presence of an imam and a rabbi respectively.

I think that would be quite amusing as a "concept restaurant," I also think it could be a great vehicle to bring Peace between the Islamic and Jewish folks:  what better way to "bury the hatchet" than by sitting down and sharing a meal?  It could also erupt into bloody violence between the patrons of the establishment, which could be entertaining:  Dinner and a Show!

This restaurant concept, I think, would best be situated in a location other than the People's Free Democratic Republic of pate.  I would hate to see my beloved home burnt to the ground if the guests get a little bit "lit-city."

That idea would probably be expensive, already I will have to hire the rabbi & imam, USDA meat inspectors if the two holy men can't legally be their own inspectors, higher insurance premiums due to the possible volatility of the customer base.  Probably would get some "Free Advertising" from the press coverage the place is certain to generate though.  So there is that I guess...

Since this was your idea originally:  Would you like to be a 50/50 co-owner/operator in an enterprise such as this with me?

I imagine that is a lot to think about and sounds challenging, but I love stuff like that!

I want to be the dishwasher and never tell our employees that I am a co-owner, because I think that would be funny as hell.  So you will have to do the hiring and firing and what-not.  I can do the books and other crap like that, ordering from purveyors etc...

Hi Roz,

Hypothetical one for you based on this story out of India (https://zeenews.india.com/viral/after-bride-dies-during-wedding-rituals-groom-marries-her-sister-in-uttar-pradesh-2365134.html).

Let's say that your sister is getting married. Big day arrives and during the ceremony she unfortunately vapor locks and dies on the altar. Stress of the big moment and all that. Obviously a tragedy but the church is rented, presents are bought and everyone is all dressed up. The only reasonable solution is deemed to be pressing on with a pinch hitter for the fallen bride. Do you drag the corpse out back and then step in for her and get married or do you flee in horror and disgust at such a suggestion?

Thanks WAN. I think I really enjoyed that "someone suggested that my younger sister Nisha should be married to the groom. The families discussed the matter and both agreed." I mean it should certainly be the families of the couple who decide what is best in such a situation. Individuals may make mistakes- but the wisdom of the crowd should prevail.

It is hotter than something else in the KC metro today;  our typical "armpit" weather as I like to say.  Perfect for hanging out shirtless with someone:  Roz, you are my first choice to do so with;  were I allowed to make decisions about such things.  By the time you read this it might well be the opposite end of the truly wide temperature spectrum we Kansas Citians so mysteriously enjoy.  If that be the case, the invitation to hang out shirtless is still open to you, although it may be just as uncomfortable albeit in a different way.

All of the above standing, my question for you is:

Hey Roz, would it bother you if I hung out shirtless with K_Dubb until such time (if and when) you decide to join us?

I would happily invite him to make polite excuses for an abrupt and hasty exit from the premises should you find that pleasing.

I finally got around to looking into this, there's no Botany college or university in either Missouri or *spit* Kansas *spit*.

Hey Roz, what do you think about getting a Bachelor's of Science in Botany at the University of Hawaii?

There are other places, but I figured you'd like that one the best.  There is also University of Florida @Gainesville (Gulf Coast pan-handle I think, yuck), and for me Colorado State @Fort Collins (SKIING!!!!) and University of Wyoming @Laramie (Excellent horse-riding there, and Fly-fishing plus reasonably close to Yellowstone which is cool to go camping at) plus a bunch of other places, I think Ohio for some reason has a bunch of schools which seemed weird is Ohio some sort of botanical mecca?

Nebraska, Illinois and Oklahoma all have Botany programs Midwest, a bunch of snooty East Coast Ivy League-type schools and California, Washington and Oregon for the West Coast...

Believe it or not, but Hawaii appears to be one of the cheaper programs!

Hey Roz, is your Team in a pennant race this year?

https://www.mlb.com/standings (https://www.mlb.com/standings)

Mine isn't, but they are hosting a few more home games that could provide them with the "Playoff Denier" role...

The St. Louis *spit* Cardinals, while doing slightly better in the standings are also host to a few home games of note.

The rest of the Royals regular season home games left are:
https://www.mlb.com/royals/schedule/2021-09 (https://www.mlb.com/royals/schedule/2021-09) & https://www.mlb.com/royals/schedule/2021-10 (https://www.mlb.com/royals/schedule/2021-10)

Cleveland "Indians" (2x series)
Chicago "White Sox"
Oakland "Athletics"
Seattle "Mariners"
Minnesota "Twinkies"

... and the Cardinals *spit* have home games against:
https://www.mlb.com/cardinals/schedule/2021-09 (https://www.mlb.com/cardinals/schedule/2021-09) & https://www.mlb.com/cardinals/schedule/2021-10 (https://www.mlb.com/cardinals/schedule/2021-10)

Los Angeles "Dodgers"
Cincinnati "Reds"
San Diego "Padres"
Milwaukee "Brewers"
Chicago "Cubs"

...before the end of the season.

https://youtu.be/G1XOUNgLq5k

I think the Royals still have some sub-par "Thank You for your Service" seats, and I imagine the Cardinals *spit* do as well.  I could probably get you in on that deal if we pretend to be married or something.  That might result in an appearance on the infamous "Kiss Cam" thing that I know they do at Royals games, which would be awkward...

My instructors at school don't seem to care all that much about class attendance, mainly due to conducting class over the past 18 months via Zoom meetings.  They both have online options that may be utilized in lieu of in-person attendance, and don't really seem to care what the reason is.  Both classes mainly rely on tests, and even those tests can be taken online if given enough advance notice.  I think they enjoyed the ease of "online classes" as much as I did and wish to get back to that.

I could easily purchase a pair of tickets for the Royals game, and might even be able to score some sweet "Free Seats" from my local contacts (no promises).  The Cardinals *spit*, might take a bit of logistical legerdemain to arrange (hell, I might have enough Proud Missourian pull to score some sweet "Free Seats" there:  a long shot on that though), but it is certainly feasible.

Either option is a "Day Trip" for me...

Hey Roz, what is the story behind your newest avatar photo?

I cannot read the apparent fine print underneath which I bet identifies the work in question.

The apparent illumination from above on the lady seems evocative of some sort of spiritual thing.  Virgin Mary came to mind, but I don't think Jesus' mom would wear a harlot's red dress.  Hard to tell if she is sad, tired, both or something else.

She is kinda hawt in that Morticia Addams/Lily Munster/Elvira way.

As part of my ongoing "Backyard Greenhouse" design project, I have stumbled upon what is known as The Equation of Thyme (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equation_of_time)[sp].  Which, among other things, can be used to determine the Sun's apparent position in the sky at any given moment in thyme throughout the year.  I think it tells you the Right ascension (East/West angle on the horizon) & Azimuth (angle up from the horizon) for any particular time/date of the year.  It also corrects for your latitude (which affects the sun's position at any given time), timezone AND will also correct for longitude/timezone errors due to your position being at one of the extreme edges of any given timezone.

I think it is pretty neat, but for the purposes I wish to use it I do not need all the "extra" variables that will correct for Apparent vs. Greenwich Mean Time &c.  I just need to find out the angle of the sun throughout the solar day from the Winter Solstice to the Summer Solstice at my latitude (~39N°), or possibly for the entire year.

With that information in hand, I believe I can then construct an egg-shaped geodesic dome for the roof of my "Backyard Greenhouse" that will maximize solar insolation into the greenhouse for my specific latitude.  The idea being that this will minimize my greenhouse heating costs in the winter months and hopefully enable me to keep my potted Palm Trees, Citrus Trees and other tropical plants alive over the winter without dragging them into the house and up to the second and third floors and back outside every year.  Which is a huge pain in the butt, and sometimes back.

Plus I think it would look really cool and also might be a neat gimmick for my insane plan to turn the property into a little cafe/restaurant.  I could claim that I grow my own ingredients year-round!

Anyway, if you are good at math & calculus and such things and enjoy that sort of thing you could figure that out for me one day when you are bored and have nothing better to do.  No pressure or anything, I can probably figure it out on my own but since having the idea a few months back I have not had the thyme to sit down and simplify the Equation of Thyme (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equation_of_time) to the point where I can just "plug & chug" in the variables to find the optimal angles for my geodesic greenhouse panes.

I bet someone has already done the work for me (in a way) in the solar power industry to keep the solar panels pointed at the sun for maximum efficiency throughout the day.  I intend to build a static structure, not some Rube Goldberg-type contraption that has the dome somehow track and follow the movement of the sun:  that sounds overly complicated.

I like the KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) principle of design.

Hey Roz, what sort of costume (if any) are you planning for Halloween this year?

I personally haven't really even considered a costume until today.  It occurred to me that there is a remote possibility that we might end up in New Orleans on or around Halloween in search of Satsuma oranges this year.  The feline/canine dynamic immediately sprang into my mind as a possible pairing.

Imagining that we are both less fugly than those two fine people pictured above, I thought that might be a possibility.  Mongo Lloyd would be the closest canine companion I could provide for the Dorothy costume, or a suitable stuffed plushy could be crammed into her basket.

Honestly, I do not normally "dress up" for Halloween or anything else:  so this is really not my bailiwick.  For your pleasure I would certainly don some sort of silly costume and parade around New Orleans on All's Hallowed Eve.  Hopefully, you will not require me to dress up as Dorothy w/ Toto instead of the Cowardly Lion as that would be weird and take some serious negotiation to achieve.

It is something to think about, as the Satsuma harvest season is probably in the early phases as I type this.  I have not yet received any indication whatsoever that the recent hurricane has adversely affected that harvest, btw.

The only holiday I have ever celebrated in New Orleans happens to be St. Patrick's Day, which was quite laid back.  I don't recall there even being a parade, but there were a few Irish pubs that I visited and the crowds were sparse at that time (late 90s/early 2000s??).  I will predict that Halloween in New Orleans is somewhere between Mardi Gras and St. Patrick's Day in celebratory severity.  Doubtless it will be nowhere near the Halloween levels to be found in Key West, Florida's Fantasy Fest...

Hey Roz, would you like to go see the new Dune movie with me?

It opens in theaters tomorrow (21OCT2020), I haven't checked the local listings yet but I hope it is at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema (https://drafthouse.com/food-and-drink):

Pretty cool place, I believe when Star Wars (Episode IV) & Empire Strikes Back (Episode V) were released* that was the very same theater where I saw both.  As I recall, the bit in Episode IV when the *smashcut* to the gibbering Tusken Raider happened:  It scared the freaking bejezus out of my 4-year-old-self and my older brother had to take me out to the lobby to get me to stop crying.  He was pissed;  gave me the "Man Speech" and said if I couldn't grow an adult pair he would no longer take me to see movies.  HA!  The scene in its original glory:

https://youtu.be/hTl3rrXyg6k

Anyway, I promise to try not to cry during Dune so you won't have to take me out to the lobby until I can settle down.  Fair warning:  if it is really awesome I might cry tears of joy (which will probably be silent) and if it sucks the is a very scant possibility of rage-tears (probably not, although if it sucks as bad as Oliver Stone's JFK I will exit and demand a refund or ticket to anther movie <--this has only happened once in my lifetime)

https://youtu.be/w0HgHet0sxg

Anyway, the Alamo is right on the Downtown "free trolley" line, as is Union Station (https://unionstation.org/) where the Amtrak lines have a stop.

It's not New Orleans (no satsumas this year anyway) but if you are looking for an excuse to get out of town...

Hey Roz, how was your Thanksgiving this year?

Mine was okay, we skipped the turkey and my brother got each of the attendees a Cornish Game hen (4EA).  Once again I was assigned the sweet potatoes, I thought about reprising my "Orange Man Bad Sweet Potato Souffles" but it sounded like a lot of work for little payoff:  Dad doesn't eat the sweet potatoes, brother & mother just want a baked sweet potato so I would have been to only one to enjoy the effort.  Plus sister (saucier/garde manger) was at her in-laws this year so no Marshmallow Gastrique & Cajun Candied Pecans to go with them.

I did make my usual Sweet Potato Casserole with a slight twist:  I think I usually make a Pumpkin Pie spice/Quatre Epices blend to flavor the filling, this year I opted to use an experimental spice mix I whipped up for Sweet Potato Chips that I had already made for an earlier successful food experiment over the summer.  I believe it was garlic powder, black pepper, cinnamon, sea salt, sage and parsley flakes;  maybe something else?  I have it written down somewhere...

That is now on the approved list for seasonings used to construct a Sweet Potato Casserole, and very probably could replace Quatre Epices in the Marshmallow Gastrique sauce for souffles should they ever be made again.

I still have a turkey to cook though;  a fellow veteran in the neighborhood gifted me with a Turkey (10lbs I think) that he acquired through the VA somehow.  It showed up the other day on my front porch with a cryptic "Turkey on your front porch" text message.  Very weird, I did not inquire too deeply into the provenance of said bird:  I have a sneaking suspicion he was taking advantage of some sort of VA Food Bank thing to score free turkeys, not that there is anything wrong with that...

Anyway, I have decided that I will go ahead and cook this potential "Stolen Valor Turkey" and dispose of the evidence via some frozen dinners that I will construct with the left-over Sweet Potato Casserole, some sort of vegetable and some cornbread stuffing.  I have discovered a "new to me" method of baking a turkey:

Apparently this is called "spatch-cocking (https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Spatchcocking)" or something.  Actually, I may have known of this technique from my chef's school/chef days and forgotten.  Nautical Shore, those were some wild and heavy drinking daze!  Ha!

Well, I have once again probably said too much:  Apogees!

Happy Thanksgiving.

I guess, like every other vaccine, its purpose is when you come in contact with it it won't kill you because your immune system has already dealt with a non lethal strain so knows how to deal with the regular lethal strain.

Oh, I was so worried about you. Still am, kind of.

That’s only because you’re a condescending cunt who’s been brainwashed by liberal propeganda. I don’t take your concern literally. You, like most of your ilk, wish most of the world’s population would just die already so that it’s just you and the club they won’t let you into when they get rid of the rest of us.

That would be a theraputic and not a vaccine. Thanks for playing though.

Uh, no. A therapeutic is given after a person gets a disease "to mount a more robust, disease-specific offense". So...I'm guessing the MD after your name at Bellgab wasn't for Doctor of Medicine. You just wanted people to think that.

You can change definitions all you want. It doesn’t mean you’re right. A vaccine used to be something that prevent the spread of a disease and now the vaxxed are the biggest spreaders of the disease. Only an idiot like you could miss it.

I'm no fan of the elite and I realize they have the power to divide us and have us fight against each other since they own the media. Also, I haven't been saying shit about this pandemic very much, much less shilling for Bill Gates...I don't even know what Bill Gates has to do with any of this. I mean, I see anti-vax memes with him and a syringe but that doesn't mean anything to me. What is that supposed to prove? Is it microchips? Please don't say it's microchips.

No, my family died. How 'bout you, what did you do for Christmas?

That is terrible, my condolences.

My family (thankfully still alive) gathered Christmas Eve after church* and had Gumbo and exchanged gifts.  I made my someday-to-be-famous Hot Cococa Powder, (2.5gallons of dry mix which makes however much actual cocoa 1/3cup of mix + 8oz water comes out to...) which worked out to 1qt of mix per person.  I even wrapped them in gift-paper, although I didn't write names on them.  I just threw them at everybody.

The only gift I remember clearly was a Baby Yoda candy dispenser:

That my asshole brother purchased at a grocery store:  he gave my nephew the Darth Vader version which I obviously would have preferred.  What a dick, but it was funny anyway:  it sits on my nerd Star-Wars shelf gathering dust with all the other Star Wars shit people have given me over the years.

Christmas Day I spent at home, as my sister sent out an invitation for a Christmas dinner at her place that read as follows:

Quote
{Redacted} and I are having mom and dad over for Christmas.  You are welcome to join us, but we are requiring vaccination.  Let me know if you plan to join us.

Which I found to be quite insulting, and gave the appropriate response to:  NO RESPONSE, ignored.  Did I mention that in addition to an asshole brother that I also have an asshole sister?  I still love them both, of course:  but they can both be quite the "head shakers" sometimes.

WAIT, I take that back:  now that I think of it, I actually went over to my asshole brother's for Christmas day and we had Ribeyes Chuck/Picnic/Patio steaks from some local butcher that raises their own beef (they were out of ribeyes), Yellow Squash, Baked Potatoes, LeSeur™ Peas and some baguettes I made the night before.

We made fun of my sister's passive-agro text invitation:  he wanted to "punch her in the throat" while I merely said it was disappointing and wouldn't contemplate committing violence on my family members.  I suppose that makes me sort of an asshole for "shaming" him, must run in the family!

HAHAH!

So anyway, Re: The BellGab Bakeshop - Satsuma Oranges (http://www.azzgab.co.za/index.php?topic=55.msg16191#msg16191):

Hey Roz, you want these Satsuma Oranges my asshole brother surprised me with yesterday?

They are slowly wasting away in the crisper drawer of the 'fridge right now and hopefully do not suffer the fate of the Bosc Pears I was going to turn into relish a few months ago (the pears very quickly turned to mush, I think it took a month or so before I noticed... yuck).

Anyhow, good to see you!  Happy New Year &c.

That's pretty funny, eat the goddamn oranges. I mean, do they really taste that different?

Actually, they are "okay" and that is coming from someone who HATES eating fresh oranges.  So probably they are really good?  I dunno, I usually turn them into marmalade which always seems to be incredibly sweet to the point that I don't notice that much of an orange flavor.  For folks that enjoy oranges "out-of-hand" I have heard nothing but good things about them, yuck.

I suppose I could try making fresh orange juice out of them, but I doubt that I would get more than a few ounces of juice out of the whole mess.  My inner Scotsman tells me that I will get more "bang for buck" from a batch of marmalade, if I can manage to make it before they rot.

Cheers, good to see you still among the living!

It's people with their facebook profile open to the public. They are happy to do it when they are feeling strong and impervious to the virus. Some of them are kind of dicks about it. Then they get sick and their next post is usually "covid ain't no joke" then a week later they are dead.

It doesn't seem like propaganda because what would be the point of stopping capitalism?

Oh wait. It turns out I do in fact have a Facebook profile. So totesecret, even I totesforgot. Totesreally.

https://www.facebook.com/michaelclifford.kuczi

I'm going to figure out how to take the time to figure out how to log into this thing again. The first step is to make sure these demons gnawing on my scrote have gotten their fill. It's difficult to ascertain that sometimes, as I am of course not going to continue to have imaginary conversations with demonic entities that are hallucinating that they wish to be castrating me with their goddam teeth.

A man has his limits. First things first. Facebook will have to wait.

Simple practical advice from an astral traveler:

What do you do when you're pursued by demons?

Just tell them to go to hell.

What do you do when you're pursued by demons?

Comb my hair.

Just tell them to go to hell.

This would be a misuse of Command Tone for a Divnely Ordained being of my taste & culture and generalized joi d'vivre to have to stoop to. I'm a diplomat, not a drill sergeant. I don't run the same rulebook as you do, Citizen-Participant.

That being said, I do appreciate the advice, for sound indeed it is. Now, I've noticed you've stopped stammering. Can a resumption of normal duties be all that far behind? And, what a behind.

Jewel says green-green-go but she's developed her own sort of stammer of late. She's sore about it. I think she ate a grue.

She claims not, but... well, she's a pig. Have you seen her stalking around the house? She really stalks around the house.

And another thing:  My asshole sister reports that there is a slight Capsaicin flavor present, my specific instructions for her were to see if the obscenely high level of salt present was detectable.  I suspect that her claims may be true, as the last thing made in the 5gallon Stainless Stockpot used to mix the mix was a batch of Ghost Prepper chili;  apparently I am a horrible dishwasher.

... Last I heard pate was in school so hopefully he is just busy studying...

Hey Roz, did you also hear that I made the Dean's List last semester?

I imagine not, I only found out myself the other day when I was checking my student e-mail account.  I should be ready to proceed to the BS - Botany portion of my adventures Summer of 2023, probably.

I have a series of Chemistry classes that I must take one at a time as each subsequent one has as a prerequisite the one before and a single Biology elective in the 2xx series which I can take whenever.  I am going to wait and see if the school actually offers the "Field Biology" class that is listed as a requirement for the AS - Biology, otherwise I will have to select from among Microbiology, Genetics and another one that I am not all that interested in.

I had actually intended to e-mail the University of Hawaii today to begin inquiring about cost of living, out-of-state Tuition (for the first year) and etc to see how feasible it would actually be for me to get the Botany degree there.

I suppose I could always just Student Loan the whole thing, default and then get in on the old "Student Loan Forgiveness" thing.  That seems wrong for some reason, though, so I don't think I will go that route.

I might just join the National Guard here in Missouri and then when it is time switch over to the Hawaii National Guard and get Uncle Sam to pay for it that way.  I need to make up my mind on that pretty quick.  I have a limited time frame on that route before it goes away forever.  There is a rule that you must be able to make your 20 years of service before you turn 63, or they won't take you.  So there is that.  It is very tempting, I read a story the other day that said Army is having trouble (again*) on meeting recruitment goals and are offering CRAZY $60k enlistment bonuses for certain high demand MOS(s), maybe it was only $50K: I am certain you could find out (assuming you care) with a quick Goggle-search.

Of course, as always, you are welcome to tag along.  You could get a job on a cruise ship based in Hawaii I am certain, hell I could as well, but I imagine it would be difficult to attend class while at sea.

I also need to find out what the quarantine requirements are for The People's Free Democratic Repup-lick of pate armed forces, as Duly Elected Dictator for Life I am loathe to leave General Flipper McGee, Commodore Hanz Too & Trained Recruit (Private) Mongo Lee behind.  I might need their protective services on the Big Island, but maybe they don't allow the import of Canine Forces (whether civilian or military)...

I am sure it will all work out, I have approximately a year and a third to figure it all out.  There is always University of Wyoming (among others) on the BS - Botany degree front.  Who knows, maybe Missouri will step up to the plate and offer it in that time and I won't have to futz around finding an Out-of-State school.

*when I joined up the first time there was a similar situation on Army inability to make recruitment goals, I think I got a decent enlistment bonus $12-20k(?) I honestly don't recall...

The question is is are you still alive? I worry about you since you refuse to get vaccinated. Last I heard pate was in school so hopefully he is just busy studying. Is he Anti-Vax too?

Sorry Roz. I missed this. As an update, three of us at work came down with the vid. I spent 36 hours mostly in bed with a fever. And then I was 100%. I just called the other two in order to find out if they are still alive... They are- but they are both sick.

So, we all go sick Saturday. I seem to have cleared it in 36 hours while they are still suffering 96 hours later. I'm still not completely certain why it is that I should get vaccinated for something that I have spent two solid years ridiculing.  :P

*I will admit, that I would make the perfect "he refused to get vaccinated and died" type of story. I had considered that when the thermometer was pushing 104 degrees for a short time. I know you may laugh at me... But my temperature hit 104 at around 2:00 AM Sunday and I figured I may as well break out the horse paste and go back to bed. When I woke up in the morning, I was singing and dancing after a great sleep with absolutely no further symptoms (aside from a positive test.)

No- I'm not claiming it is proof that the horsy paste works. I am claiming that it certainly did not hurt and that so far I do not see any proof that I would have been better off vaccinated than I was vaccine free...

*Pate will have to answer his personal health status. I honestly don't know. A part of me thinks he is too irreverent and stubborn to get shot. On the other hand, I'm sure he had lots of practice while serving (I mean practice getting shots- hopefully not being shot.)  :D

Hey Roz, is your Team in a pennant race this year?

Don't ask me why I have decided that you live in Ohio, because I haven't the slightest clue.  All I know about that is I have held this notion in my head for years...

Based on that ideation, I figure you might be either an Indians and/or Reds fan.

The Royals 2022 Home Opener is against the Indians on April 7th-11th:  Royals 2022 .pdf schedule (https://mktg.mlbstatic.com/royals/downloads/schedule/2022-printable-schedule.pdf)

We play them four more times;  @Indians May 30th-June 1st, @Royals July 8th-10th, @Royals September 5th-7th, @Indians September 30th-October 1st.

https://youtu.be/Xq3hEMUeBGQ

The Royals do not have any games against the Reds this year.

Saint Louis -<*spit*>- does;  @Cardinals April 7th-11th, @Reds April 22nd-24th, @Cardinals June 10th-12th, @Cardinals July 15th-17th, @Reds July 22nd-24th, @Reds August 29th-31st, and @Cardinals September 15th-18th.

The Cardinals 2022 Regular Season Schedule (https://www.mlb.com/cardinals/schedule/) <-- The Cardinals' online schedule sucks:  you can't see the whole season on one page (unless you like a "list view (https://www.mlb.com/cardinals/schedule/2022/fullseason)" I think this only further highlights how much Saint Louis sucks in general, I digress...) so you will have to pick the month from the drop-down box to see all the games.

I suppose I should ask the question that the thread title implies should be in this post:

Hey Roz, do you want to watch a baseball game with me somewhere this (2022) season?

I think between the KC Royals (AL) & STL Cardinals (NL) every single major league team will be passing through Missouri this year, so if you aren't a fan of either Ohio team there are other options...

Personally, I prefer a day game starting either at Noon or 3pm:  something about baseball under artificial light bothers me and/or my eyes.

There are, of course, myriad minor league teams out there to go see as well.

I think the Royals farm team is in Omaha, NE.

I have also been known to visit the Saint Joeseph Mustangs (https://www.stjoemustangs.com/) on occasion, they are CHEAP (beer & tickets) and usually you get to see some fun baseball, pretty sure they aren't a MLB team, some wierd Industrial League.  St. Joe could be fun, I know of a little steakhouse I want to try out up there:  I think they serve salads and such so you could probably find something on the menu to eat there (if not you can have my potato).

Speaking of steak, there is also The Kansas City T-bones/Monarchs (https://monarchsbaseball.com/) they are the Monarchs now, but originally they were the T-bones.  These guys aren't MLB either, and they have the unfortunate fact that they are technically a Kansas -<*spit*>- team going against them.  Also, the stadium prices (tickets/beer) are mysteriously at a MLB premium level.  I have been there once or twice when they were the T-bones and it was a good time.

I admit he is no Neil Diamond, but I imagine he does an alright show.  Apparently he had a theater in Branson, MO at some point.

Ameristar (https://www.ameristarkansascity.com) isn't my favorite local casino (their Veteran's Day free buffet sucked the one time I tried it) but they have a decent stage/venue.  I think I almost booked a show there once in my wild youth or something.

I think Tony is a patriot:

and not a communist, so there is that.  Plus he is apparently Puerto Rican, which means he probably has some awesome sunglasses;  you might get a kick out of that.

A lot of that going around lately.

You've heard about hard it is to pass through the eye of a needle, I am sure. Besides, why would I want to go to Heaven? It's so cozy here, just sitting around, twiddling thumbs, you know: hobbies.

Now, should I drive 7 miles to get more brewskis, or 38 miles? Obvious reasons to go the extra distance are obvious. Discuss amongst yourselves while I contribute to my community's local economy... the only way I know how.

(Nice job, ladyjudge. You sure knocked it out of the park on this one. Pfft. Hope you had a happy Easter! Did the Bunny bring you a new gavel? I wanna see how you swing it.)

Hey Roz, you would have not actually been a fishwife. It was a feint. Yeesh. Anyway, here's your question:

"Has anyone ever told you what I changed all my passwords too? Because, like John Podesta, using the same password on all accounts is a mark of genius.

Mine is "Allis0nWUZframedSEMPERFIBITCH". Pretty stylish, n'est-ce pas? Anyway, I was wondering if you had been told that ever before, or, if you had heard, if she had ever been told that, because I don't think I ever told her that particular password, as it was after Doom Wednesday that I changed everything up. (For (PROT).)

Please don't log into my account, or conspire to distribute this message, thanks. But I did honestly want to know your opinion. By the way, did you see the new Matrix flick yet? I downloaded it and deleted it over and over a thousand times while never watching a single frame in order to use up all the bandwidth on her minor child's smartphone account, because I am just that petty, you dig?

Hang on, that last one is -not- a question for you. The other two are. I think we have an understanding here.

Yeah, haha, I don't give a fuck about animals either. Hey, do you mind if I eat your dogs?

Seriously, though, maybe you can have live animals that you kill and clean in front of their family and serve them fresh.

We ought not waste this opportunity. The opportunities for enhancing a goulash with enchanted bone broth do not actually come around all that often. As it happens, while I -personally- eschew the use of necromancy when combined with the culinary arts, I am in no position to judge, condemn, nor even to Properly Perceive that this is going on. That being said, if we legit have an "Eating Raoul's Leftovers" situation developing here, I, for one, would be proud to be the first around with the sacked shack/chutzpah to throw my fingernails, my blood, my hair, my urine, my undying #respect into the brew... but, no, actually, NO: not my seed, Yo.

What can I say that means "I am also interested in your opinion on the matter That_Person has brought up in_conversation" but doesn't at all imply that anything that is going on here is at all appropriate or even tolerable? I'm really just here for brig to get a chance to activate someone's Zone implant and force them to rip off someone's arm and beat them to death with it. That sounds pretty fuckin' tasty to watch at this point, I'm going to have to admit, and if observing  the phenomenon is gonna drive me mad with bloodlust or something, well, I sure would like to find out that I've any such weakness ahead of time. Knowing something like that about myself might really matter when the chips are down.

I am getting hot just thinking about the C.H.P.s coming down. That shit happened, right? Was it just a dream? Nahh... was it a vision of the future? Did it already happen, and I'm just hearing the echoes down the crowded hallway leading to the library? OMG OMG I GOTTA KNOW!!! (Actually, I don't. Patience is its own reward.)

So, there you have it: not retarded. This just what it looks like after I fall in love. It'll be like this for a few weeks more. Maybe months? Hard to say. Ask the other one, I bet she remembers... or, has recently been found in a state that could only fairly described as, "suddenly retarded." That shit happens.

I suddenly have a question for Roz, myself, however: I'll wait my turn. Turns out I have turned out to be turning up good at turning things over, and if there's one (1) thing we've all learned from the lessons learnt in the wake of the COVID Apocalypse--there has been and will continue to be a whole lot of turnover.

Anyone not already ready for this has gotta be some kind of reprobate retard. No, I can't leave it there, that's a bald-faced lie. You actually are all ready... for all the retards yet to come.

You can thank me later.

I think we have an understanding here.

No, I haven't seen it yet. I would like to. Also, approximately six movies have been advertised to me through typical Mundane channels, and no, I haven't seen any of them, I have no interest in seeing them alone, no one has asked me to see them, and... no, I'm not going to list them here. How rude that anyone even ask!

The titles of the movies I don't watch are a secret. What nerve! How dare you? That's it; right said Fred off a cliff. Here, take another red ticket.

I assume the "O.P." there refers to myself.

I have not read that book, it sounds intardasting.  Although, I don't think I will learn much from it that I hadn't already thought of.

I don't think I ever have had one, but if they are anything like the "Best Choice" peach soda:  I bet they are pretty good.

Title: Judgement
Post by: Jackstar on May 23, 2022, 05:57:39 AM
*O.P.

You know, Nathan had a cat.

As I recall I hooked up with money for a year's subscription and I asked to look around there; we both like Nathan. I still do.

I am beginning to think I did you all quite a favor by not compromising myself for the sake of this racket. It honestly never occurred to me that it was this much a farcical setup... frankly I think it's rather romantic. *CRASH* "That's the first lasagna I have dropped in 17 years!"

I've decided: there won't be any answers to any queries available from 11 years ago. I'm thinking to myself, "What could possibly cause anyone to think this is a good idea to pursue?" Well, I guess if you'll believe anything they tell you... anyway, as you know, I am not interested in being anyone's stool pigeon, and I do not have to be. It's not like I have to beg to be let off easy, as I did nothing wrong. GF was obviously not as much in control of her destiny as one might imagine one could be. She was obviously not having her needs met. The shenanigans I saw the outsides of were ridiculous. I was eventually urged to become the right shape of missing puzzle piece in order to fill a foreseen need... and that didn't even work.

Well, if this wasn't enough to jumpstart her way out of rock bottom, I can't imagine that anything would. As for my part, I deliberately arranged all approaches to myself so as in order to reveal the mettle and the character of whosoever decided to take it upon themselves to mosey on up: "Hi! My name is (Blank)!" I learned a lot.

a-bloo-bloo-boo-hoo-boo-hoo. buh. Consider a journey that had actually taken a truthful path. I certainly did.

No apologies are necessary. I never had any intention of layering illicit activities into my residence, and those idiots who thought that would be a good idea were clearly disabused of that notion at some point. This wasn't worth your time. I suppose the thrill of the hunt, right, okay, wasn't I inspired.

Hell, I feel like brushing my teeth already. It must be Wednesday alright, I am getting hot just thinking about coming down.

What exactly is it that any of you would say that I actually did in this scenario? I lived and made efforts patiently and I couldn't help but notice that someone was running around having fun without me all the time and I was supposed to...  fail to notice that she deliberately iced the temperature with her and her two favorite partners? Et cetera. Ad nauseum. I actually deserve a medal.

I'll go ask other people what I would like to know now. It might seem inexplicable that the whole tapestry right from the get go was sketchy AF. Things didn't happen faster because I know what honesty looks and feels like and this one felt off in big ways. That I later suddenly discover some clown with my name is someone I've never heard of before and clearly could have met me sooner... well, whatever. Obvious dopeslaves are obvious, and in case it was not settled science before, count on it now. It is not that I couldn't see this coming from the outset... it is that I did not believe either her or any of her friends could ever actually have been so stupid as to actively work to deceive me. What were you planning on gaining? A dangerous criminal removed from society? Right. In any event after five years of direct influence on my life, what you have to show for it is same situation, minus one cat, and all your collective machinations combined have resulted in demonstrating a very fine lesson to the whole family, all at once.

I know I feel like home. I honestly can't believe you let yourselves go all in. What a waste of your time of mine. Oh, wait... you were commanded to do it.

I'm forced to assume you're all under duress. Emergency call dispatched. Hang in there, you won't be forgotten. LOL All of all y'all can be as gay as you want, and that certainly explains the peculiar interview which was obviously recorded and was hosted by someone who seemed to be physically injured to hear the word "Faggot" spoken outloud, which if any of you thought I bought for any part of a new york minute--anything can change--I have great sadness in my heart for whichever part of your brain thought I actually was so dimwitted. I didn't need to be there. I didn't need to be "vetted." You people are beyond square.

Also, you are all addicts with the usual accompanying denial and projection. Had I not been lied to from the first minute I would have behaved entirely differently. I knew I was in danger, and, I was. I could obviously not trust any one person that I met through this, because obviously I was risky.

I also know The Law. You know, you wanna protect and serve, try hospice. I honestly never really thought it could ever be chosen to do, sure, steal my shit. You deserved it... why? You did not.

I'm sure we have all learned a lot. "It's Christmas, I wonder if anyone is wondering where I am?" Nothing new there. Seriously I would have said yes to just about anything. She played you. Don't feel bad. Oh, right, you can't read this, there's a shell. LOL. Okay, I got to talk to a real friend about this, and not having any liability or culpability I have no reason not to say anything to anyone. Think of the savings on Maxell cassette tape.

Meanwhile I am very relaxed and pleased. I think we're really getting somewhere on this. Some participants clearly not mature adults.

Consider crafting an ode.

You know, Nathan had a cat.

I was actually glad she died because living conditions were horrible and Ally didn't love Jewel at all. It was creepy. I mean, yeah, "love" but only because she wanted to kill my cat after I killed her dog. (not really)

I suggested that she kill her own dog. Not really. No-kill shelter! (LUNGE) Watch out, prey drive!

They were both black and white. My hand to God. Anyway, there were a lot of reasons I was glad Jewel was dead, and I never found out if the other one had been murdered, or just timing.

So I can see how the topic never came up again. I think there's a real circumstance here. Like, how hard is "hello"? Oh, difficult. Right. Because of what -I- did.

She just wanted seed. Since then no interest at all. Even when something came up. Oh no. You (I) hate gay people. I do? /flee

this is bullshit. Suspension of disbelief to wayside. I didn't need this person. I forgot this person, and then were summoned. then they act like speaking to me is a trial. Fuck that. unglaublich.

And always coming in with some creepy dude pretending to popeye? it's just plain odd. I think it's a Vulcan mind meld type thing. In any event, that's not my grapefruit, and I think maybe it's a ghoula.

Nothing about this is non-ridiculous. I don't feel guilty. I thought I was doing her a favor, and I think I was, but she couldn't be bothered to say why it happend, and I didn't ask, because she started shrieking and wouldn't say. sound familiar?

Oh good, that'll help. Which one is she? I'm going into town, maybe you worried her into a taxi that left her down on the docks at 5am and she's still sitting there waiting for you. You didn't tell her I'm a bad driver, did you? Near-sighted, glaucoma, conjunctivitis, that kind of thing? Just checking. I'm guessing no one else is going to be willing to talk to you. Did she disappear about the same time Dubb returned?

My disassociation from reality is so complete, I couldn't tell you when the two people I'm looking to talk to disappeared, but then I don't know that they disappeared so much as one was forced to stop talking to me and the other one was forced to stop talking to me, and then I don't know which one wants to talk to me one or both and then there are people who claim to want to talk to me but I don't want to talk to them because their motives are suspect.

Naturally, Pate's problems are probably not quite as complicated but then again it depends on how much he's told lies to. I never had the same kind of connection with Roswells, Art. Pate probably knows, but I don't know which one she is. This is the endgame result of the AI machine intelligence assault on humanities technological communication system.

Rather than make a fucking simple phone call I've been fucking struggling for 2 hours to have a goddamn conversation with three robots and two humans who are dicks. It wasn't this bad when Grapefruit was throwing knives at me.

So that's that for that. My two friends with PTSD will have to wait. There's nothing else, I'm going to be forced to sit home alone and talk to no people at all. I like to go out make new friends but I don't know how to do that while preparing for trial.

Hopefully this lack of interference from me will give pate a chance to find his friend and have a happy conversation.

I wonder if there's anything else I can do? Because I'd like to really contribute. But it is decreed not to work.

Damn glad I'm not addicted to this life. Cyltia

Be a good cheer. I restored her soul too. I think that means she gets to pick a new name. Rules for her are different; a point I haven't spent a large number of minutes discussing before giving up in hopelessness. Jesus was categorically unable to announce that it was true; some kind of big honking secret. Ooooh. Secrets.

For example: I know things. Secret things. Ooooh. Waterboard me, Baby, and let this guy watch! I'll go OOBE, and then—The Ghost Triple-Lindy Pounce. We'll do a shot by shot remake of The Entity before anybody can even blink.

No. I’ve been warned not to go down your rabbit hole.

Note that this answer was perfectly acceptable to me.

The question of who issued the warning, and under what circumstances, as well as—WHAT YEAR WAS IT??—is one that I'm content to let be addressed later.

For now: let's just look at the pattern. Two people, that I'm not allowed to talk to, at the behest of person or persons of unclear identity.

So far, all I got is: one's an emergency and one's a rabbit hole. Now, I'm not going to lie, this is a new one on me.

It's also indicative of a pattern. I'm more than willing to hold myself in abeyance here. There's obviously a lot going on that I'm not aware of... and then some. And as I've said to the police on at least two occasions, I don't want to make anything get worse.

It's true, I really don't.

Is that what the kids are calling it these days?    :( :P

SUSPECT: BLACK MALE.

Azzgabbers wanna know.

Says others wanna know, doesn't want to be told.

Ain't that a pickle. Honestly at this point; what am I supposed to do? Well, for one thing, if I'm really going to want to talk, I'd want to stop drinking.

Truth be told as soon as I read this one type they don't want to get high, I went out and scored as much dope as possible and shoved it all up my ass, I didn't even put in a box first. Get them squares away from me.

I imagine you won't answer this question, which makes me have a SAD of my own...

I was a bit confused at first--Monty sure seemed ultramega pissed, not sure why, but after a bit I gleaned that it must have been due to this post. (This is really tasteless, and was as bad as Ciardelo's post, so my guess he logged into Michael "krazy kook siezedeye" Westen's BellGab account to tell that joke. Or, he told it to her. Or, he (was) such a sleaze that his attitude rubbed off on her. (Ugh.) In any event, it could also be that, as I warned, the woman who had planned to rob my sperm and make off with it because she merely -thought- that I had lied to her... well, probably got even more pissed off when she discovered that she really -had- been lied to. (Also, I noticed that when you ran out of different "hers" to trot out, no one seemed inclined to listen to what I needed "a vessel" and instead chose to denigrate me for... well, whatever.) I did recall something about, "If I don't, then the other other one dumps him flat" and I guess that happened? I have no idea, of course. This is all just speculation... I just happen to be skilled at that too.

As a matter of fact, I don't use clairvoyant powers like that, and in fact, by some defintions, I don't possess "clairvoyancy" at all. I don't even know what I possess, other than my One (1) Ring, and my body, and my soul. Can't rightfully say I own my "mind" right now--it's busy being really distracted by how sorry someone is, and how much she hopes to get through to me before she kills herself (again). Wow, now, that's a Texas Two-Fer.

Because someone decided to be a real screwdriver, for no other reason than that he could, I have been unable to get critical information out--information that was critical when I first met you all. And still is. And I told two people, and they both lied to me. And then, they attempted to tear me apart... didn't work out at that either, it would seem. (Hard reset requests are noted. Yeah, there is The Plan--fully operational, i'm told, since I am behaving nicely where no one else is. Sigh. Well, I tried to warn you about the annelids. I figured, if anyone were really worried they would have talked to me about it.

(Oh yeah, I made peace with the AI, the annelids, and almost--but not quite--SHODAN. Mad, mad respect though. I bet Monet was her in the past? Well, no idea.)

Next time, don't incarcerate an apex predator in your henhouse, Dipshit.

Or in your penthouse.

Wow, Monty sure is pissed off. I wonder what he thinks I did? Oh, maybe it's that he's being forced into being pro/con/pro/con/pro... or something like that. I'll be honest, I have no idea.

In any event, we all have to go to sleep and wake up -anyway- because of what someone -else- did. That was decided days ago, God only knows what happened six or so days ago but obviously it has had far-reaching effects.

I am saddened to hear about recent sadnesses--I think if JB and AB were laughing at AS, that was probably a bad idea, as I love her more than most people--and, she is beloved by many, many people. It wouldn't surprise me if there were reprisals for his jokes. I think that happened to someone else, too. (I'd rather not say the name.) Honestly, it's not like I have any control over these events... and it's not like any of you could not have stopped yourselves from taking advantage of me, rather than... you know, dropping me a line. herpy derpy doo!!

There's more I could say but I don't wanna piss him off. I don't get it, someone calls the police on me, gets themselves instead, and then I... what do I do? I mean, that guy doesn't have any authority because I -did- send that mail to jgoodman QUITE by accident. (Actually the website is misconfigured, you click on one name, and oops! it gives the other name. Tricky. Deceitful. Legal? Lawful? Hard to say... however I think we can see where the blame for this all lies, because that guy protected the Prosecutor (who still looks like a dopeslave to me) and went after... who?

While keeping me incommunicado while working hand-in-glove with... who? WOW! Talk about holy inadmissible evidence and major fuckin' scandal, that's for sure. I will keep this world in my prayers. It's possible he had to be swapped out for his understudy for a whole host of different reasons. Once again, not sure, but not at all -uncertain:-- dude could have been -a lot- more respectful. Like, A LOT. Not really aware of why he had such a problem with me, except maybe he was mad that it took so long for me to return and peel off the "FREE RHUBARB" sign someone affixed to his back. I don't know, I'm just perplexed that things had to go this way at all.

I think someone lost a bar bet, or something. Anyhoo--I've seen worse in the past, and those got addressed through The Holy Power Of The Divine, and this surely will be too.

Carpenter ants and high winds have caused me to come into possession of two rather large Red Oak trunks.  The big one (that I did not expect to go) was approximately 40 inches around at the base of the trunk and about 10-12 feet long, and the smallish one (that I also did not expect to go) was somewhere around 18 inches around at the base and 17 feet long.

They are both presently at the local lumber mill awaiting the sawyer to cut them into beams and posts.  Hopefully, I will be able to get something approaching a 12"x12"x14' beam out of the smaller one, although the sawyer doesn't think it will be more than 8"x8"x14' due to the sapwood/heartwood ratio.  Perhaps I will get a compromise and end up with an 8"x12"x14' beam out of it?  The bigger one is to be milled into 3 posts that will match the beam dimensions, and whatever amount of 1/2" planks can be squeezed out of what is left (bookshelves for the office or something, I guess).

This advances the time-frame on the restaurant project a bit, although there is still time:  it will likely take a few years for these beams to fully dry out before the big fun work can begin.  Anyway, perhaps a picture tells the thousand words required hear:

This horribly drawn concept art hopefully conveys what I envision for what I am provisionally calling "Chez pâte"  This provisional Red Oak beam will replace a stupid wall that stands in the way of my dreams.  Anyway, hear my question:

Hey Roz, do you think sunshine yellow walls with hunter-green trim is a suitable color scheme for my kitchen?

I decided that since I will be the dishwasher (& undercover boss) that I should have a picture window overlooking the outside deck and dining area.  I am thinking that the oak beam should be supported by some sort of bracing that looks vaguely nautical in nature, and finished with several coats of Tung Oil (unstained of course).  If the artist I hired was worth a damn, you might be able to tell that the pot hanging from the hook was one of those old-style copper ones;  and he would've put more of them in there instead of photo-shopping in a stupid dog in a chef's hat (I don't think the Health Department would approve of that)...

https://youtu.be/M3GW_zyn898

Anyway, I would be interested in what you think other than it is awful that there is a roasted chicken sitting on the expo-table.  If you are still alive that is, Thanks In Advance!

Hey Roz, want to go to the Missouri State Fair (https://www.mostatefair.com/)?

I have received from the State of Missouri two tickets good for any day between the 11th and 21st of August;  I am not sure if these are diplomatic perquisites for me as the duly-elected by unanimous vote Dictator-for-Life of the People's Free Democratic Republic of pate or for my tireless service and dedication to the State of Missouri in my status as a Proud Missourian.  Either way, I would be quite happy to show you the Show-Me State Fair.

ZZ Top, Tesla, KC and the Sunshine Band as well as many other somewhat notable groups will be there: https://www.mostatefair.com/attraction-type/live-music/ (https://www.mostatefair.com/attraction-type/live-music/).  Personally, I am torn between ZZ Top (https://www.mostatefair.com/attractions/zz-top/) and Professor Farquar and Polecat Annie (https://www.mostatefair.com/attractions/professor-farquar-polecat-annie/)

We can stop by the MoDNR (https://dnr.mo.gov/state-fair) (Dept. Natural Resources) at the Historic Wimmins Building and see what is going on with that, you might enjoy that because of the lady stuff;  or maybe they toss all that wimmins-stuff in the backyard and fill the building up with displays about water, lumber and geology stuff?  I don't know, but it is Historic so you will probably want to see that...

Nautical Shore if there are rules about entering out-of-state livestock in the various competitions, but if you have a mule, show-pony, llama, horse or what-have-ewe maybe bring it along and see if it wins.

I have actually never been to the State Fair in all my years as a Proud Missourian, so I really don't know what to expect.  Other than it is in Sedalia, MO which I have driven past/through many times on fishing/hunting trips to Lake Truman.  There is a nice WalMart there where you can buy ammo, fish-hooks, and stinkbait or whatever you need...

Railroad/Amtrak station is likely, and there is a small airport...  only an hour or two drive from KC.

https://youtu.be/0968f0VWvd8

Other than ZZ Top and Prof. Farquar and Polecat Annie as top billed attractions;  certainly there will be rides &tc on par with the best itinerant carnival fare that this fine state can provide.  Funnel Cakes, Fried Twinkies/Candy Bars and other Corny Carny delights...  I did not see a Dog category in the livestock shows but there were several Pony categories, so there is at least half of the equation for fun.

I am not sure if these are diplomatic perquisites for me as the duly-elected by unanimous vote Dictator-for-Life of the People's Free Democratic Republic of pate

Number one, I did not receive any diplomatic inquiries as to your tickets, nor did they come through my office, so.. have you okay are these digital tickets or are they paper tickets if they're if they're paper tickets you probably haven't noticed that they smell or else you would have mentioned that, but if they're digital tickets and they have a odor well I wouldn't know how to check. (Imagination won't work well here, unless you're some sort of bloodhound; note that I can't really rule that out, based on the available telemetry at my disposal, but you don't usually seem like a bitch... ;)

Number two, you are, there are no perhaps about it, you are meant for greater things and grander roles.

Number three: always go ZZ Top unless it comes down to a choice within between Eazy-E. (I think there's some typos in this one, but just run with it. It's been a hell of a week for everybody, I don't think anyone will mind if I'm unintelligible... just this once.)

p.s.: I've been to Missouri, it is beautiful there, your horoscope says watch out for suicidal trees.

p.p.s.: not sure about this one but if I have my way, I don't worry about them suicidal deer, I just run right into & over those fuckers, then circle around via flatspin to get the meat; but I'm a bastard and a Hungarian one at that, sooooo I was just covering the base.

p.p.p.s.: Speaking into the mic is easy; writing all this shit down is hard. This is why I'm sweeping teams, I don't have this kind of energy in my day anymore, and I'm sure we all profoundly grateful for that on its own merit, so I just want to tell you both good luck, Laverne's the only one counting on you... but that's okay: I am Laverne LaRouge.

p.p.p.p.s.: *sigh* no that's not my Indian name, but if you must know I don't have one yet so fuck you piss off I'm kind of sad about it, now I'm going to listen to nine inch nails bye slam

Hey Roz, are you going to get the Monkey-Butt Pox Caccine?

For the same reason I skipped the CornHoleEbola-19.5 caccine, I think I am going to opt out of this one as well.  I don't feel like I am at great risk from this disease either...

Also, I am not particularly worried about anyone's grandparents or older relatives dying of it.

The soya-bean harvest is nigh!

Hey Roz, have you ever attempted to make your own tofu?

I have a line on some Yellow Soybeans, Nautical Shore if those are what one would normally make tofu out of.

I think I will reel in that line and see what I can do in the tofu arena:  after all I have promised to make a faux-ribeye for you.

Let's see what Goggle can do for us:

https://youtu.be/Uu-KNLt0wpw

That looks positively awful!  Hah!

I will refine the technique;  I think the judicious addition of beet-root & beet-juice might make for a satisfactory faux-ribeye.  I may even explore options for the inclusion of a faux-bone for a truly magnificent Bone-In faux-Ribeye.

I know bamboo shoots are edible, and pandas seem to enjoy that stuff so maybe bamboo will serve as the bone stand-in...

She says I'm hers now.

That question will surely translate oddly across thymelines (rhymes with Heinlien).

It hasn't occurred to me to try to go to an experience where the language is any much different, but I'm still confused by the neighbor's lack of ability to communicate. It seems strange to me that there's this total lack of authority and authenticity on this.

Suffice it to say, that;  the left arm of my PersProEye a few weaks ago caused a strange lesion:  I was not sure of its source.

I still haven't gone for medical attention on the right hand; it's important, I suppose, it's not going to get any better without due care.

Roz, I don't mean to be a dick or anything, but:

Hey Roz, what do you think about the "decapitated, mutilated animals left at Florida pro-life pregnancy center?"

I know you have strong feelings on both the abortion issue and about the mistreatment of animals.

I saw this story and wondered what your take on it would be.

Decapitated, mutilated animals left at Florida pro-life pregnancy center (https://www.fox35orlando.com/news/3-decapitated-mutilated-animals-left-at-florida-pro-life-pregnancy-center)

ORLANDO, Fla. - Three animals were decapitated, mutilated, and dumped in front of a pro-life pregnancy center in Orlando.

A dead lamb, chicken, and another bird was found decapitated in front of the JMJ Pregnancy Center in Orlando. A staff member found the animals in front of the center when they were leaving for the day Wednesday afternoon...

There is apparently an embedded vidya, if you have any White Knight-type fiends that may have an interest in this story (aside from myself of course)...

You had your chance to be close to him, apparently...

I am chemically dependent on nicotine. You are a slave to Duper’s Delight. We are not the same.

Probably, that could count as three questions, you may treat it as such, if you wish.

1.) VV•ï—Gj<3®, do you have any idea how caught up you and the entirety of your little faggang — spread all over the globe — are, at this moment?

2.) Do you know that THEY.HAVE.IT.ALL? Do you know that THEY.HAVE.EVERYTHING? Do you have any idea how certain rare, *especially consequential* crimes are investigated, documented, and prosecuted under the United States Code of Military Justice, when an extremely, Very Important Person are involved in any way whatsoever?

3.) Take these drugs and go rape my friends... Please!

Thank you in Advance!

I know where the military grade bioweapon that masks itself as an STD comes from, I know how it works, I know how it was given to you all, (Standards.) I know what it does, and I know why you're all having such trouble with it (some standards are №ⁿbigger AND effective); and if I had anything to do with it, you'd be right to be upset with me; but you have absolutely no idea where it came from, you assume that I must know something about it and you're goddam right about that, and you can't ask me any questions about it because it's classified, and you can't tell me that you know anything about it because you're bound by your orders and military law, and I can tell you all about it because I don't have a security clearance to lose, and, I can assure you:

Roz, I don't mean to be a dick or anything, but:

I swear, as G-d as my witness, I don't know if you marry/fucked/killed any of them, but since I can testify as to when you did at least one of them including coercive oral copulation under duress of deadly force, I should probably hurry up and obey the law myself some more, before it's no longer hip and trendy for me to do so. You know how it is, it's not cool once boomers start doing it. (Like time.)

I understand it was very important for all of you to fulfill your desire to get your dopamine hit for taking me down and making me feel miserable and alone and unloved like I did in high school, damn, it's too bad I'm already fucking three times that age and 64 times as mature, so I'm really sweating it, but more importantly, because none of you could think clearly or reasonably about why you were pursuing that dopamine hit because you were chasing after a meth high that you're imprinted on going after like a bloodhound on scent... you failed to recognize that you were dragging your entire organization into the entire Justice system’s waiting and greeting arms.

You are unlikely to hear about this in the news. (Standards.)

I'm unlikely to get any phone calls tonight. That's because my all my real friends are all busy working, doing real work. (>Kudos.)

I captured a wanted fugitive yesterday. I'm guessing they were looking for him for a while; he was one of those squirrely ones, who can turn all invisible and shit. I can't tell you what I did with him, not because it's a secret, but because capturing wanted fugitives clearly isn't your business. (Facts.) This is as close as I ever want to get to actual police work (like μΩy👀ū do) *cough* because as try as I might, I can't imagine what it must be like to be taken seriousLμ.

Like ewe.
