Yeah. Pretty fuckin' delusional email, but a wonderful conversation piece nonetheless.
Also the same smothering producer/mentor fantasies on how to do your show, you see that a lot with the kind of older gays who like younger guys to play daddy with, creepy misplaced paternal instinct, can smell it a mile away.
One of the cool things about my old acquaintance Metron
was that he flew the flag for gay rights like a real champ. Sure, at times he was a
touch stuffy about things of that nature (if it served his political tirades of the day), but overall, he caped for equal treatment of peoples who live "alternative lifestyles," (not that I ever cared for the phrase).
So much bitterness from someone so afraid of revealing who they
really are, though. Why can't more of 'em post an actual photo of themselves, like you and I do? Why such fear? The mind boggles. I guess they just like their anonymity. It
is cool to put faces to names. I dunno. We
are dealing with conspiracy theorists, tin foil hat donning shut-ins and the like, though. That's as good an explanation as any!
