What services in Alberta will be exempt from the program?

Businesses or entities that need to be accessed for "daily living" will not be part of the program, the government says.

Hinshaw said Thursday the government is putting together a list of what this will include, but examples she provided include grocery stores, gas stations and hardware stores.

That is actually helpful. I heard the announcement (I assume that clarification came after that.) I have not listened to the news since and have no real wish to at this point. It also means that my gym will likely not bother (they don't allow training and have no clases. They are pure budget minded, but open 24 hours a day.)

I suppose this means that all of those businesses that pushed to be "essential" during the lockdown might be sad. Pot shops, liquor stores and even dollar stores with a food isle all got to be "essential."

Now I wonder about malls. A number of them have doctors, dentists and even diagnostic clinics and labs in them. I wonder if they will be every store for itself...

Your list of non-essential businesses looks similar to ours, and unvaxxed can go out with a negative test here, too, sounds like.  So even unvaxxed it's better than last winter, and vaxxed it's pretty much normal.  I was going to offer to trade some powdered milk and protein chunks for a little horse paste but it sounds like you shouldn't starve.

LOL these chuckleheads never tell you their names so you can't google them.  But that is Dr. Ryan Cole who, among others, is being blamed for letting Idaho's cases get so out of hand they have to send them here and overload our hospitals with hill folk.

Cole's specialism is dermopathology — a discipline focused on diseases of the skin which has little relevance to respiratory conditions like COVID-19.

Nonetheless, Cole is a celebrated figure among anti-vaxxers. He made headlines in July by calling the vaccine the "clot shot" and "needle rape" in a presentation to America's Frontline Doctors (AFD), a group known for COVID-19 misinformation.

Cole is a regular on the anti-vaxx and conservative speaking circuit, giving talks to groups such AFD. He has been championed by the rightwing Idaho Freedom Foundation and by Infowars.

He has also spoken on the podcasts of lawyer and conservative talk show host Daniel Horowitz, and anti-vaxx conspiracy theorist Dr Sherri Tenpenny.
