I'm going to now have to argue that my going to work from the start and not cowering in my basement may have been at least a little "brave." We were being told that the death rate was 10%, and I work in a place highly exposed to international travel. Now, I did some math and figured that it was closer ot 1 - 2% death rate. But still a little worrisome. I want a hero cookie as well.
As for the rest of the argument. May I paraphrase and assume that you are happy to have your freedom and do not have a problem with denying a war veteran his? After all, he holds an unpopular view.

I would not drink in any place that would not serve Col. Manly, the whole idea makes me nauseous. There are a few bars in Seattle now requiring proof of vaxx but I won't go; I signed up for normal, not some fastidious sanitation regime.
Plus with vaxxed now apparently spreading it to a significant degree, there's no practical purpose. There are a few areas like mine where enough people are scared that it may make business sense for places to require it, but I don't think that's most places. People are pretty much done with it.
