FACT FOCUS: A multimillion vote gap between 2020 and 2024 fuels false election narratives

Associated Press 06NOV2024

Less than 24 hours after Donald Trump was elected the 47th president of the United States, social media users began pushing two conflicting narratives to suggest election fraud, one that revived false claims by Trump that the 2020 vote was stolen from him and the other questioning how Vice President Kamala Harris could have received so many fewer votes in 2024 than President Joe Biden in 2020...

...

“20 MILLION VOTES WERENT COUNTED,” reads one X post. “I KNEW IT TRUMP CHEATED...”

...

“If these numbers are accurate, this is indicative of a stolen 2020 election. 20 million votes just disappeared. In other words there were potentially 20 million fraudulent votes last cycle. That’s an insane number.”

...

I find this intriguing.  Not that I am an expert at statistics or anything;  although I did just take an 8-wk class on the subject and passed:  the gist of it all is still in mind.

I think what might be more helpful in this situation would be the "Null hypothesis test" for either of the claims.

I believe this is similar to applying Occam's Razor to the two conflicting claims.  Of course, as the article points out:  the counting isn't done quite yet.  However, there should be numbers about how many Registered Democrats/Republicans did vote both times.  It would be interesting to see how a Real Statistical Analysis of the available data from both elections works out with Std. Devs, Z-scores, T-score &tc.

Also, an examination of proportions (Dems/Reps/Independent/etc);  I am not going to put a number on what effect a voter's party loyalty may or may not be for any particular candidate:  although one might think it to be consistent among registered Republicans voting for/against Trump (won can't really do that with Dems, bCux Camel-uh IS NOT Buh-buh-biden).

That side of things should line up pretty well, one would expect?  -Oder-: n'est pas?

Anyone wishing to give themselves a headache might visit that StatisticsByJim website I linked to above (& hear: https://statisticsbyjim.com/);  a little advertisement heavy:  but I found it to be beyond helpful in that class I just took.

Personally, I ain't gonna run the numbers on it all, but I would be interested to see what an actual statistician might have to say about it.

I know what it smells like to me!

I still find it mystifying WHY they the hobo elite are STILL counting the ballots...

What possible difference, at this point, does it make?

Nautical Shore.

#1) I lost your phone number. Oops.
#2) The ballots are counted because they are supposed to be. That's their purpose. Maybe you're just taking the piss here. You're new; the other pate is, like, kinda gay.

I know what it smells like to me!

All the world is a stage,
and all the men and women
merely players.

All of them have their entrances
and their exits;
and one man in his time
plays many roles.

#3) why are all your roles a big whiny baby? You're better than this.

It's already too late. I asked for help two years ago. You all did a bunch of stupid crap instead. Keep it up; when it won't help to slow down, pour it on.

I'm not interested in following you all into your rabbit holes. You're paranoid; you're delusional; you're grasping for straws. None of this is my area.

It was inevitable that someone would come into the house and try to trash it. That's the Playbook. Knowing this... why would I slog and haul to make something nice, so it could then be destroyed? I am not Tantalus.

My phone does nothing but connect me to OpFors. I'm paying for the fucking thing and it does nothing but serve my enemies. Usually, a person in this position would be unable to seek aid from Authority due to their criminal complicity and liability.

I do not have this problem. I can appeal to Authorities whenever I so choose. Arguably, I should have done so before.

Hey, here's an idea: all of you, just stop being reprobative scum. That would be a really great help to us all.

I am not the patsy you are looking for. And none of you are the people I need.

You fill me with inertia. Adieu.
