It was a "Rush" job, and frankly I found the "meta"- qualities of the song particularly amusing.  Runners up (omitting the overused Beck song) included:







All of which I am somewhat familiar with, but none of them seemed appropriate enough.

I am glad you caught that grammatical error, but maybe that is some sort of Canadian linguistic quirk?  Bands being comprised generally of multiple people;  maybe Canadian English speakers use the plural form "are" instead of "is"?

Robert Mugabe (that being Shred's current AzzGab nom de plume) being a filthy Anglisher that understands the polyglot amalgamation of French, Latin, and German that is English might be able to shed some light on that.



As for K_Dubb, I miss him as well.  Were he still around I would say to him:

Yes, the Beatles mostly suck.  Although there are a few songs of theirs I enjoy.  That particular selection was also considered for its meta- qualities...

I think it was just blind random luck that you and I both agree that the Little River Band one was probably the best musically of the bunch.
