Thanks Asuka-san. I have an appointment at a lab tomorrow morning for an antibody test to find out if I have had the coof. I was talking to my sister (the responsible one in the family) and she actually said that she has considered visiting my cousin as well and did not tell me that I was an idiot. She agreed that if I'm unvaxxed, then the only thing that I'm doing by putting off getting the woofloo is ageing and increasing my risk of a poor outcome. She actually said "well, you are now two years older than you were when the virus was first around." I was shocked to hear her so rational...
Anyhow, this is very timely info as I may need my horsey paste sooner than later. I'm now up to 75% certain that I will go over to have a beer and a game of crib with my cousin. Tomorrow will be D-day. (decision day.)
Well, I hope you'll be alright. It seems like a terrible way to go. Some people who had a mild case still suffer from long-covid symptoms and from what I gather it stems from an enzyme produced to fight bacterial infections. According to this article:
https://news.arizona.edu/story/venom-coursing-through-body-researchers-identify-mechanism-driving-covid-19-mortality the enzyme is similar to rattlesnake venom and "it has the capacity to "shred" the membranes of vital organs". So I think that may be the reason formerly healthy and fit people have a reduced quality of life due to damaged organs presenting as brain fog, getting winded easily and other annoying problems.
Maybe you'll be fine. I think a better plan would be to try to avoid contracting the virus until they can come up with a treatment for it.
Also, if you have a goatee, shave it off, that seems to be a comorbidity from what I've seen from the Herman Cain Award winners.
