As far as Jackstar is concerned, Pate's stance on the matter has never been exactly secret, ambiguous, or cautiously set aside for a more private, confidential setting. I’m also pretty confident the biblical reference wasn't directed at your character; he was simply stating how greatly his perspective was lost on you. I am, however, absolutely confident he’s amused at how seemingly upset all this has made you.

NOT trying to White Knight or create peace treaties but, from an outside perspective, I don't believe the nerve hit was at all his intention.

Either way, this is classic Bellgabian behavior on both parts..
