I wonder who some of the biggest investors are in the companies that produce the vaccines? 🤔

Alpha Draconans. Real nasty ones, too.

That is terrible, my condolences.

My family (thankfully still alive) gathered Christmas Eve after church* and had Gumbo and exchanged gifts.  I made my someday-to-be-famous Hot Cococa Powder, (2.5gallons of dry mix which makes however much actual cocoa 1/3cup of mix + 8oz water comes out to...) which worked out to 1qt of mix per person.  I even wrapped them in gift-paper, although I didn't write names on them.  I just threw them at everybody.

The only gift I remember clearly was a Baby Yoda candy dispenser:

That my asshole brother purchased at a grocery store:  he gave my nephew the Darth Vader version which I obviously would have preferred.  What a dick, but it was funny anyway:  it sits on my nerd Star-Wars shelf gathering dust with all the other Star Wars shit people have given me over the years.

Christmas Day I spent at home, as my sister sent out an invitation for a Christmas dinner at her place that read as follows:

Which I found to be quite insulting, and gave the appropriate response to:  NO RESPONSE, ignored.  Did I mention that in addition to an asshole brother that I also have an asshole sister?  I still love them both, of course:  but they can both be quite the "head shakers" sometimes.

WAIT, I take that back:  now that I think of it, I actually went over to my asshole brother's for Christmas day and we had Ribeyes Chuck/Picnic/Patio steaks from some local butcher that raises their own beef (they were out of ribeyes), Yellow Squash, Baked Potatoes, LeSeur™ Peas and some baguettes I made the night before.

We made fun of my sister's passive-agro text invitation:  he wanted to "punch her in the throat" while I merely said it was disappointing and wouldn't contemplate committing violence on my family members.  I suppose that makes me sort of an asshole for "shaming" him, must run in the family!

HAHAH!

So anyway, Re: The BellGab Bakeshop - Satsuma Oranges:

Hey Roz, you want these Satsuma Oranges my asshole brother surprised me with yesterday?

They are slowly wasting away in the crisper drawer of the 'fridge right now and hopefully do not suffer the fate of the Bosc Pears I was going to turn into relish a few months ago (the pears very quickly turned to mush, I think it took a month or so before I noticed... yuck).

Anyhow, good to see you!  Happy New Year &c.

*I think it was one of those Zoom-meeting services?  I dunno, I never go to church anymore...

That's pretty funny, eat the goddamn oranges. I mean, do they really taste that different?

Do you not see how many unvaccinated are dieing? I can make a thread if you want. Mostly it will be full of facebook posts of people claiming they have an immune system and God to save them...it doesn't end well.

I realize they have the power to divide us

Big deal. So does your mother's cooking.

Is it microchips? Please don't say it's microchips.

Nanopreach it.  Once more with feeling just for ol’ times sake?

Well, look on the bright side: there's only so much of your brurnother's cooking to go around.

Actually, they are "okay" and that is coming from someone who HATES eating fresh oranges.  So probably they are really good?  I dunno, I usually turn them into marmalade which always seems to be incredibly sweet to the point that I don't notice that much of an orange flavor.  For folks that enjoy oranges "out-of-hand" I have heard nothing but good things about them, yuck.

I suppose I could try making fresh orange juice out of them, but I doubt that I would get more than a few ounces of juice out of the whole mess.  My inner Scotsman tells me that I will get more "bang for buck" from a batch of marmalade, if I can manage to make it before they rot.

Cheers, good to see you still among the living!

Mild by most accounts.

I’m not really a fan of propaganda or fake news. :(
