Around 10:30 last night we were watching a movie when I noticed two of the cats jumping and swiping their paws at something. Then I saw something out of the corner of my eye, and I thought I saw a large bug or something. By the time I went to see what was going on the cats were over by the screen door, then they ran halfway up the stairs. I looked in both areas and on the back part of a step was
a bat. Clinging to the carpet. I immediately decided to notify my husband and request immediate assistance, which I did at an increased volume because he was out on the deck. He was able to assist the creature back outside and no one was hurt in this event.
