Surely the new thing is abortion!  I am trying to figure out a sort of badge or emblem to put on my picture so everyone knows I support it, but a fetus with a line through it seems kind of, well, ookie 🤪

It'd be accurate. Give it a try, why don't you?

You might culturally appropriate that one?  It has a male birthing person performing a live abortion!  It may have some other subtle messaging that I haven't noticed yet...  It's a start anyway.  Maybe that is his liver exploding from his fifteenth Caccinnation booster shot?

Nautical Shore.

I am pro-life, abortion is ookie.  But you don't have to outlaw every ugly thing otherwise I'd outlaw your avatar.

Check me if I’m wrong, Biblemaster but isn’t Thou Shalt Not Kill pretty important to the whole deal? ???

Yes and you shouldn't get an abortion because it is probably sinful.  But arguing that we should have laws against every sin is just stupid, I'd like to ban fat gluttons from the Home Town Buffet but they won't let me  :(

Jesus was born under a regime that practiced actual human sacrifice -- no debate about viability or lumps of cells, actual human beings -- and He wasn't like OMG you guys go change all the laws!!!

Sin is the natural state of mankind, and the awareness of our sin drives us to God for forgiveness.  Come on, you know this:  "where sin abounded, grace did much more abound".

Yes, but not because God said so; you can’t have a civil society where people go around killing each other, and most societies, Christian or secular or of some exotic faith, have come to the same conclusion.

But you can have a civil society with women going around murdering their babies? Explain. ???

We've operated that way since, what, 1973?  And since antiquity, with traditional methods.  Some people even interpret Numbers 5:22 as some sort of trial for an unfaithful wife for which abortion is a possible outcome, it's hard to tell what they're talking about but it sounds suspiciously like it.

Given this country's history, the number of theocratic utopias we've set up, from the Pilgrims to the Mormons to the Unitarian socialists, you'd think we'd have learned that constructing a society on religious precepts doesn't make for a nice place to live, but hey, there's always the next one.  It's just like the communists who argue their regimes all collapse because they weren't pure enough.

So, you don’t think murder should be illegal then? ???

I don’t know where you are getting that. I am an American citizen in our American civil society founded upon the Constitution with my right to life, liberty, and property upheld by that Constitution and I can’t take anyone else’s without due process of law.

God I am tired 🥱

Well, you’re saying that because it’s been a law since 1973 and we’ve been putting up with it all that time and that even before that women just did it illegally; and because we shouldn’t strive for utopias we should just continue to tolerate the murdering of babies. So, why not just make murder legal for everyone then? Why just women who murder their babies?

Because we as a society can’t agree that fetuses are real human lives worth protecting, I think the people who want Roe overturned are maybe a third in polls.  Ask ethicists, scientists, preachers of all kinds, you’ll get as many answers on the question of when Constitutionally protected life should begin as there are people — conception, heartbeat, trimesters, all that ookie stuff I don’t like 🤷🏼‍♂️

If we all agreed to ban abortion it would be fine but I think you’re going to see what happens pretty soon if that third that wants to see Roe overturned succeeds in getting its way over the majority, that never ends well.

It’s kinda crazy to think that a fetus isn’t a real life. Are they fictional, like unicorns? ???
