Were I in some sort of situation where I was required for some draconian reason to get a vaccine against a disease that has an incredibly low fatality-rate:  sure a more traditional one would be a nice option.

That mRNA shiet is dumb as all get-out, no thanks.  The J&J/Jansen one is slightly more tolerable, although the possible side effects seem to be worse than the disease itself.  Can you even get the J&J/Jansen one anymore?

Yeah, but still no.  I have already survived and am therefore Naturally Imminized against what, in my case anyway, was nothing more debilitating and deadly than the common flu/cold.  I don't see the "point" of getting a vaccine in my case, frankly...

My mother would have been in that category at the start of vaccine season. She has taken a number of others and has no problem with them but didn't trust the new technology.

However, after watching all of her vaxxed friends and coworkers get it (with many staying sick for nearly a month) she is kind of laughing now and questioning the point of them. I may ask her- but I suspect that she doesn't give a rip about Covid anymore and wouldn't be bothered with a vaccine (traditional or otherwise.) 

*Also, I think they really shit the bed when they went all heavy handed. I guarantee you 100% that she was more than open to a traditional vaccine. But their tactics has made it so that there are no more "moderate" unvaccinated people. If you remain unvaxxed at this point in the game despite the MSM pressure, government pressure, friends pressuring you, travel bans (which Canada still has in place) workplace mandates, financial incentives and being told that you are less than human- then you have had to really dig in.They have created people who no longer care about vaccines and covid. And in many cases (rightly) distrust all of the old authorities who would suggest they take a jab.

Looking at the lies told (starting with it can not be lab created, then progressing to masks will save lives, closing businesses is necessary and ending with "safe and effective" it is hard to just accept what we are told. So yeah- create a traditional vaccine and try to sell it to this group of people after what has been done over the last two years. I would say a dozen people in each state will get injected with it.

I think the experiment to vaccinate everyone to prevent spread is over, the shots just don't last long enough.  When Seattle was still doing vaxx passes there was a suggestion to require boosters and a few bars did that on their own, but generally that idea is dead.  If I got a fourth I'd be good for maybe three months at best, a lot of people have already made that calculation with the first booster and figured it's not worth it especially since the side effects in mostly younger folks aren't great.  There is a good summary of the whole situation here https://yourlocalepidemiologist.substack.com/p/predicting-the-fall-and-boosters?s=r

Vaccination rate. All of this science is great. But only 48% of people in the U.S. have their original booster. Only 23% of eligible people have their second booster. Why aren’t we leveraging social science as much as bench science to increase effectiveness of vaccine rollouts?

In blue states, though, employment vaccine mandates are useful because governors have found it an easy way to remove political opponents from state jobs, and the disgruntled underemployed rabble they create makes good tv fodder.
