Seems like it would be a fun project. I have a ESP with a floyd rose and it makes it a bitch to tune and i never use it so i would never own another guitar with one. (not an 80's buttrocker)

I had one for awhile but could never get used to the tuning probs Suki mentions and moved on, never to return to them. I’d rather have a cheap strat or tele.

Maybe I'll pass then. Don't want to be like those guitar hoarders you see on youtube. Managed to pick up a nice HSS sunburst Squire strat off Kijiji that a kid bought during lockdown. It looked like it was barely used. The pawn shop prices are ridiculous

I don’t even know if Fender still makes guitars in Japan but they used and the quality is closer to the American made and were priced somewhere in between the Mexican and American made. Keep an eye out for them.
