Huh, apparently I just did overnight site security for these guys:
NOT my normal gig; an out of the blue thing with about 4 hours advance notice.
7am-7pm Regular Thang, + 8pm-6am Surprise Gig & go mow my mom's lawn for two or three hours at 6:30am this morning because it is going to be like 190°F today. I think it got to a nice 80°F by the time I finished...
I even got to help out the sound guys (Sound Guy Brotherhood!) they needed an allen wrench to switch out a speaker, I happen to carry full sets of both metric & standard in my vehicle toolbox.
Ladies at the bank clued me in on who was playing at Sandstone tonight.
Incubus, much to my surprise, I actually have heard of, but I don't know about the others... we shall see.
I am here to brag more about my Manly 25-hr shift than the music thing. I need to sleep...
As special bonus, the bank ladies told me that Paris Hilton is apparently a DJ:
