Five Deadly Venoms (1978)

Original soundtrack and subtitles make for an entirely different experience.

La Casa de Papel was a key example of this.

What might be the percentage viewing preference in the American audience?

I’m not sure what you’re asking here.

Would you rather watch a foreign film schlubbed into American english or with the original soundtrack and clear subtitles?

Probably the latter but it depends. I think I only ever saw this one (and most martial arts flicks excluding Kurosawa) dubbed but when it comes to a more artistic flick, like Tampopo subtitles only.

Tampopo (1985)

Did you ever see Netflix series Money Heist (La Casa de Papel), by any chance, and if so dubbed or subtitled? The American dubbed version completely lost its flavour IMO.

No, I don’t have Netflix and most of their original programming seems like just that: social justice programming.

Hard pass.

No, it has to be someone who hasn't ever gotten laid.

Careful; this humanizes you.
