I feel it unwise to get into the specifics. I shoulda kept my trap shut, actually.
Lets leave the nuts and bolts to the attorneys, yeah.
You think its funny I'm being sued by Mr. Rubini?
Jesus. I guess its 'Knife Azz in the Back Day' or something.
I think it would be funny for you to file a counter-suit for a "Frivolous Lawsuit" in a South African court, especially if he filed his alleged suit against you in the United States. You could include in that suit damages of your own (time, headache, heartache &c), Court Costs for both cases and Attorney Fees &c.
I am emphatically
NOT a Lawyer, but if you are really a victim of Harassment by some dude on the internet with a superfluity of both thyme and
Krugerrands (at whatever the daily exchange rate most beneficial to you
vis a vis US Dollars), you could turn this rainy day of Lemons into the lucrative enjoyment of a lemony beverage on a nice sunny beach somewhere...
I operate on the assumption that this alleged Civil Lawsuit was filed in the US court system, and that there is some sort of reciprocal agreement between the US & SA governments that provides YOU a mechanism to counter-sue in the South African court system.
Again, I am emphatically
NOT a lawyer; in jurisdictions to include International, South African or United States.
In short, YES it is a bit amusing philosophically in the Absurdist view. If all of this is really happening somebody has some really deep pockets and a bunch of time to waste, In My Humble Opinion.
Very Clowny.
