I was expecting a raving lunatic. Somewhat disappointed that he appears to be intelligent and somewhat grounded.

No. That would be the "old school" punk thing to do. Punk has changed. Tickets to the so-called punk band "teenage bottlerockets" are $18 with proof of vaccination. $1000 without. I can not think of a less punk thing to do (to care about what others do- to try to force them to behave as society demands.) The fact that they call themselves punk makes me a little ill.
