Ooooh don't try to out-virtue me, let me find my kente cloth!

I'm sorry- but you cannot put on and take off your vaccination status like you can your kente cloth. It is too late to be an ally like me. You squandered your opportunity to support the black community. I will not sell out.

Good job, I think you have hit upon the only morally justifiable defense against my scornful ire.  Poor doc, I hope he is big enough for you all to stand behind!

Yup. And soon they will be telling you once again how dangerous it is to be at the beach and rolling in the new lock-downs because... Variants.

We no longer care bout death rates up here. The only metric that we look at is how many new cases. If they are all people under 30 and healthy, we treat that the same as over 80 and dead. It is the "new normal" not to care about outcomes.

To be fair, I think they say there are around 150 people province wide in ICU beds with Covid. There are at least 15 major hospitals province wide. I know people are screaming that 150 is WAY too many and we are going to collapse our entire system. But I can do basic math. If 10 cases in each hospital is going to collapse our system, then we may as well declare it to be a failed experiment, give up socialized heath care and adopt the US system.

I still have hope!  So far it is just experts saying what they will always say, not politically accountable people.  When was the last time an expert advised anything but caution?  I thought you might get a kick out of it.  If they go back on what the governor said, there will be hell to pay.  Too many people are too happy.

That is depressing.  The whole premise of this thing was hospital capacity and once all the old folks in real danger who want one get the vaccine that should be the only consideration.  I think with your vaccination supply problems you guys are a month or two behind us, I am hoping to show you evidence that there's light at the end of the tunnel, despite our wavering nannies.

I think the only way this goes back to lockdowns here is if a variant shows up that starts killing off, not just making sick, vaccinated old folks again 🤞
